“Hideous!!! Disgusting!!!! Stay away!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

Really, really, really bad!!! We went for dinner, paid $19 plus tax for warm Corona served in a plastic cocktail glass and ate a substandard meal.
The "Caesar salad" has ice-burg lettuce, dried Parmesan, no egg and bottle dressing. The pork ribs had some sort of dressing straight out of a packet.
Beers.... Well, believe it or not, it is actually possible to make a Corona taste bad!
To top it off, as we left the restaurant, the same waitress that served us all night, invited us back in for dinner, clearly having paid absolutely no attention to the customers she serves!
As for all of the "high fives" going on outside the restaurant, given food and alcohol are clearly not their strengths you have to question their "side businesses" and their integrity...
Stay away, save your money and go to Burger King!!!

“Tourist Trap Rip Off!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Every tourist must take note of all the terrible reviews for this place, they are all true!
We had breakfast at the Sea Cafe on Sunday 28th October. There were 3 of us, and we were attracted by the advertised breakfast price of $5.75 each. BUT with the add ons of 2 orange juices and one mojito our breakfast bill was $143 dollars inc service charge!!!
Most expensive breakfast ever.
There were no prices on the drinks menu, and we did not think to ask first, as we thought it would be reasonably priced in line with the advertised breakfast price.
As soon as we got the bill, we realised that the place was a con, and we got out of there.
Also, the toilets were disgusting (both mens and womens).
STAY AWAY - Your wallet will regret this place!

But South Beach was a great visit apart from this experience.

“This place is a scam”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

The waiter did not bring a drink menu, but since we only needed a beer, a coca cola and an apple juice we didn't expect this to be a problem since the burger prices were only 12.95. The waiter brought us a large beer in a funny glass, and had put a cocktail cherry in the apple juice for our little daughter, and that should probably have triggered the alarm bells. 45 USD for a beer and 15 USD for an apple juice! In addition they add 18% gratuity, and when I argued that I didn't think that the service was at that level the waiter got very aggressive and said that he would call the police if we didn't "tip" him what he demanded.

The burgers were below average, but still eatable.

“If I could rate this -5 I would! NEVER EVER eat here!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012 via mobile

Under no circumstances should anyone e ever eat at this restaurant!

It's dirty inside, the food is poor and they WILL RIP YOU OFF! 2 of us went at lunch and the attracted us in with the 'specials' the verbally told us. Well what they say is on special actually isnt! We had a two person paella which was very average with rubbery lobster and squid, 2 cocktails on the special deal and the bill was $350!

After complaining multiple times they reviewed the bill. We were informed it was on special, i then checked the menu and the price on the menu was $49.50 per person and they charged us $180!

We finally paid $211 for 2, this is more then Michelin star restaurants I've eaten in and 3x most places on south beach!

They were rude, try to rip people off all the time, please never eat here!

Please like this post if it turns you off from dining here!

Thanks and all the best!

Ps try a Fish called Avalon just a block away, great food at half the price!
