I travelled to Miami for the weeked from London and having lived in Palm Beach I thought I had seen everything in Miami however this little haven was great for me and my partner to get together and just Chill. The staff couldnt do enough to make our stay welcoming. We liked the rooms, amenities included and pool. The valet parking was great for multiple times in a 24 hour period, the bar made great drinks.
We both had inroom massages which were great (a little pricey at $150 each) but part of the whole romantic expereince
It was a shame the bar didnt do apetizers but im sure this will come.
If you are looking for near to Miami Beach/Ocean DRive but far enough away from the hussle and noise this is the place for you.
I will be returning a few more times in the future
They deserve their recent Tripadvisor 2008 award
If you want anymore info on what there is to do at resort,in miami, pictures how much things cost and of course how realistic it was to do from London only for a few days email me interested20046@hotmail.com

My wife and I stayed at the Angler Sept 5-6 and were very pleased with the accomodations and especially with the staff. In general, the hotel looks really good inside and out. The outdoor dining/sitting areas are comfortable and the pool is a fine size (not huge, but after all they are a "boutique" hotel.

Our room was as nice as has been described in other positive reviews - very smart layouts with high end, comfortable bedding, big-screen TV (with speakers in multiple areas of the room - including the bathroom...which we found to be a really nice touch), well stocked (and well thought out) mini-bar and accessory basket (iPod headphones!). The prices were a little on the high side, but this is an upscale hotel in Miami Beach, so not unexpected). The check-in is a little strange, but wasn't so bad since we knew the process in advance.

On our first night, the hotel bar was having a soft re-opening and in celebration gave all the guests a free drink (another nice touch).

There was a bit of a noise issue our first night - turns out an adjacent room had a couple of guys that liked their music & tv kinda loud. The overnight manager, Damien, worked hard to rectify the situation. Not wanting to go through a second night with our noisy neighbors, we asked to move to a quieter room the next morning. The staff couldn't have been nicer responding to our request and ended up upgrading us to a larger room (as well as comping us for a very delicious breakfast).

Everyone from the bartender to the valet parking staff, to the management staff (particularly Damien and Stephanie) could not have been nicer and more genuinely concerned that we enjoyed our stay. For us, it was the staff's personal touch that made our stay at the Angler much more enjoyable than merely the high thread count of their sheets!

I travel the U.S. with my husband and young child. We find a whole lot of fun. My husband and I both have astoundingly great paying jobs and great work schedules but sometimes we just like to get away. We usually take about 3 trips a year. It had downgraded to about 2 times a year since we had a child. But my child is showing some signs that she enjoys it. We came to Miama,Florida in high spirits. We loved this quaint little resort. We thought it was really cute and we loved our stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. And well decorated. We had a long travel from North California to Florida but everything was well worth it. And I am planning to go on a trip with some of my best friends this summer and go shopping. And we are coming to this resort! (And it has a great pool)

We stayed at The Angler's 4 nights over the Labor Day weekend. We had a wonderful experience. If you book, request the King/Spa Duplex Room. The location was fantastic. The hotel is only 2 to 3 blocks from Ocean Drive, but very quiet and peaceful. Other reviews mention a noise problem, but we noticed no noise issue during our weekend stay. The Duplex room made us feel like at home. The room was new, spacious and the 2 large screen tvs were amazing. Having a personal hot tub was incredible too. We were able to connect our iPods to the entertainment system and listen to music and watch movies----what an amazing benefit. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. While the restaurant in the hotel is not really in use, this was not an issue since there are so many nearby options for eating. We usually stay at the Loews on Collins Ave, but we decided to try a smaller boutique hotel. We were not disappointed. This is now our choice hotel for Miami South Beach.

  • Liked — The duplex floor plan of the room
  • Disliked — No onsite restaurant.

Booked nine nights -stayed one.

This is not a wonderful warm fuzzy boutique hoteL.

Every review said wonderful I bounced in the door full of excitement and found a pompous ,silly hotel with no lobby , no restraurant ,what could be the lobby is a fully set up restraurant sadly no chef works here(apparently been closed for weeks now), no business computer facility except a wall mounted computer on the wall next to the desk.

Our pillows were solid foam feel and the air con roared on and off all night -every fifteen minutes. Four of us did not sleep more than an hour all night. Two kids awaiting another room...we were promised a duplex -on arrival given a bedroom with pull out-we were evacuated from Hurricane so figured we would not complain and get the situation sorted next day.

A wardrobe sized electrical storage unit was in my room in a wall unit.

The bathroom is approx five foot by three shower unit and toilet. Sink unit in bedroom.

Nobody gave a hoot when we asked for a larger room or two rooms-as we left the keys during the hurricane-maybe or maybe not they would get back to us-nothing happened so we left next morning.

Pool area looks nice but so so so small.

Free kite and great room mini bar basket ,good coffee table book.Hotel with no food ... If they don't like the look of you, you are doomed here. Well travelled -see reviews- any couldn't figure this place out at all! Will be closed in two years -not feasible to keep something like the boys club this is open. Will post photos on my return to uk.

My friends and I stayed at Angler's for 3 nights in July. We booked at this at the last minute after finding a deal on Expedia. I would like to commend the wonderful staff at this establishment. We received excellent service from everyone including the concierge to the cleaning staff. Special thanks go to Montee who did a wonderful job to make our trip extra special. The staff has a way of anticipating our needs before we would even need to make a request. I highly recommend Angler’s for anyone looking to stay at a unique hotel in South Beach. We will definitely go back to Angler’s the next time we’re in Miami.

We also booked with the hotel because of it's #1 rating and we haven't stayed at many other places in Miami to compare it to but here's what we discovered:

The Not So Good: When we arrived they did not have our reservation

The Really Good: They upgraded us to a 2 level suite which was very nice. The service was fantastic!
The bed and linens were very luxurious, Flat screen televisions, bath, sound system and all the amenities were first class! Overall I don't have any complaints! We only stayed for one night enroute to a Carribean cruise so for a one-nighter I would definitely recommend it!
