“Lovely evening of music at Wallcast concert.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

Our first night in Miami Beach, we walked to the New World Symphony to enjoy the Wallcast concert being held that night. What an enjoyable evening! While the concert is going on inside, it is being broadcast on a six story white wall on the outside, facing a lovely park. The picture and sound were both great, and it was so nice to sit on the grass and experience this concert on a beautiful Miami evening! After the concert, there was a fireworks show from the top of the building, set to music. Very well done!

“Wonderful concerts in spectacular setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

The New World Center is an acoustically perfect, small venue designed by Gehry. There are many different types of concerts, from full symphonies and jazz performances, to outdoor concerts and short "welcome" concerts. The sightlines are excellent and the sound is the best I've heard.
Visit their website to see all the different type of shows. On our last visit we stumbled across $2 tickets for a 45 minute intro to the symphony which was outstanding!

“SPECTACULAR GHERY ARCHITECTURE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

I love the light, sound, design and accessability to the public at least 1x/wk on a huge Wallcast. Movies, and symphonies are made available for those who can not afford the entry fee. A great green lawn to picnic, bring the kids, and even the dog - and keep in touch with the beauty of classical music.

Marty M, Docent at New World Symphony, responded to this review, February 20, 2013
The New World Symphony building is Frank Ghery's only commission in the state of Florida and, yes, we totally agree with this reviewer that the building is spectacular. There are two ways to see the building from the inside: 1) buy a ticket to a performance and 2) sign up for a docent-led 45-minute tour of the interior, including a stop in the concert hall and a visit to the panoramic roof garden, with the best views in South Beach. Tours, which cost only $5, can be reserved on the NWS web site and are offered four times per week. I can't wait to give you your own guided tour!
