We stayed for five nights in July and I will just be repeating everything that everyone else has said. It is a really great small boutique hotel in Miami Beach away from the noise and bustle of South Beach and yet easily accessible to everything you want and need. The rooms are on the small side, but they are well laid out. Skip the balcony rooms because you can't really sit on them and you can't really see the beach from them,in fact ours just looked into the condos across the way, so no privacy, no view, no real use. We were in one room, with a balcony and had an issue with hot water and the next day moved to a room with an ocean view, which I preferred. Javier, the manager, is a gem - we did not request the upgrade, but he simply arranged it. The restaurant is really fantastic, definitely have a dinner there at least once! Really some of the best food on South Beach! Our breakfast was included and was perfect -home made amazing croissants, delicious yogurt, granola etc. And the coffee was french pressed and really good! I have stayed at The Tides, The Ritz, Loews, and The Hotel and this is light years ahead in comfort, amenities, food, service and a sense of peaceful calm in an otherwise hectic place. The pool is lovely and you can actually swim laps if you want to. Always a chair available and wonderful beds in the shade! The pool and beach food is made to order and really delicious. The beach is easy to get to and the service is not too overbearing and yet available if you want anything. The one gripe I have is the additional cost of an umbrella on the beach - $25/day is crazy and I think the resort fee should just include the cost of the umbrella because, after all, it is Florida, and you are probably going to need/want one. At the Tides it is included, and they use the same Boucher Brothers service. The hydrotherapy pool is fantastic! And affords a great view! Not sure why some of the rooms are called "Lake View" as there is no lake, but Indian River is across the street. We ate a fantastic meal at Barceloneta, a tapas restaurant! Great service, wonderful food and drinks. Go and enjoy! The beach is pretty and you can walk way down in either direction. You can walk to Lincoln Road, not a bad walk, unless you are there in July and August because it can be pretty hot. We walked home after dinner and shopping later in the evening though, and that was quick, easy and safe. If you are going to Miami Beach, and want a more quiet and relaxed stay then this is the place for you! I would go back in a heartbeat!! Wish I was there now! Shout out to Jose, Domi, Raphael and all the staff for always going above and beyond to make you feel well cared for.
