My Boyfriend and I stayed at Ocean Z Hotel on the weekend of the 4th August, for two nights. Booked through Priority Club points. A few hiccups at first...key card not working, mix up with rooms...meaning we went back on the first day after lunch to find security in our room trying to work out who it was staying there...that was awkward! But by no means but a dampener on the weekend!
Room was lovely! Comfiest bed ever!!!! We got upgraded to a pool side suite..which was great. patio doors lead straight outside to the pool area, we had our own sunbed plus table and chairs which was nice :) our First morning we had breakfast delivered via room service from The Front Porch and ate out by the pool...very cool :) food was great...tray charge of $5 dollars, plus tax and gratuities...which was fine. All stated in the menu before ordering so wasn't a surprise.
Pool area is small...but didn't feel too crowded, the hotel seemed pretty empty. Theres a small bar outside and you can get some really great priced cocktails during happy hour...their piña colada is awesome and was $5. They do have a cabana where they offer poolside massages...pretty steep prices though...but enter again, you are in Miami!
Valet parking is all that's offered and it is about $30 a day...no way round it, unless you 1) don't take a car or 2) look for a...My Boyfriend and I stayed at Ocean Z Hotel on the weekend of the 4th August, for two nights. Reception staff were lovely...after we spent Saturday night on Ocean Drive (lame and doesn't live up to expectations) we asked for a recommendation. The lady, can't remember her name (sorry!) pointed us in the direction of The Delano and what a great recommendation it was! Such a gorgeous hotel with amazing bars. Really worth a visit.
Location is spot on if you want Ocean Drive. It's also about a 5-10min drive from Biscayne blvd and Miami port. The hotel is across the road from Espanola Way too.
We enjoyed our stay at Ocean Z, it had a boutique vibe about it and we like the small intimate feel it had going on. Would definitely return if we visit Miami again.More
