Good hotel. At first they didnt give us a room with a balcony or in the main building. But I asked can I be changed to a room with a balcony. She changed our room to 502 in the main building a 1 bedroom suite the best room by far. The room was oceanfront with a wrap around balcony. From our balcony we can see the ocean and get to watch all the action on Ocean Drive. Thank you so much. You really made our vacation memorable. We had a 5 month old baby so of course we didnt get to party but no worries with our room we never felt left out the action. We didnt hear a lot of noise so perfect for a baby to sleep. Pool was one floor up amazing view but our room had the same view as the pool so you can imagine how lucky we were. Pool was small but nice and it felt heated so definate plus wish we had used it more but it rained a lot.Pool was only one towel left to when we got up there. They did have umbrellas over some chairs at the pool and nice lounge areas and good music playing. The kitchen was great cooked all our meals.No oven or can opener.Elevators were quick.Only negatives breakfast want included like their website stated also resort fee sucks it included beach chairs and towels.Tub was dirty but maid came and cleaned it up in a flash.Umbrella you had to pay a extra 15 dollars dollars. Too much seaweed in the ocean yuck. Staff were nice.Thanks for making our stay memorable.

Stayed there for two nights with my fiance, booked a junior suite with a balcony and a partial ocean view. Very pretty building! We had to change the room due to missing blinds, and after we got another room everything was perfect! Very spacious fresh room, excellent service, and the location is unbeatable, right by the beach. You get free sunbeds on the beach, but you will have to pay USD 15 for an umbrella. Very good choice for your continental breakfast is also included. NB: the restaurant on the 1st floor gets rather noisy at night, be aware of this in case you want the ocean front view. Our balconies were perfect, even they were on the side. The pool area on the roof is very good for taking the sunrise photos.

I was really looking forward to my stay in South Beach and booked the Congress for location, size of room available and affordability.

The hotel is listed as five star luxury - well, its really tatty, and could do with a facelift. There was mould all over the bathroom, hadnt been cleaned properly and the lift insurance is out of date. |The walls are paper thin, sdd to that the doors dont fit properly and so really noisy.

Unless you want to party all night - dont bother staying there! the noise from the bars goes on until at least 2 am and then at 7 am they start clearing up and boy is it noisy!

The hotel doesnt offer any decent room service - greasy burgers and pizzas only, cash or card only - and if you use the pool bar its cash only, you cant charge anything to the room. The 'restaurant' is downstairs and seems to be worked on a partnership basis. The hotel doesnt offer breakfast - we pushed for it as it was listed on my booking they reluctantly gave me vouchers to the value of $5.75 per day but I couldnt use it as they didnt open til late and I had to get away to the office.......... The bedlinen and towels are really thin and need replacing - all in all it was very disappointing.

However the staff were very friendly.
