“Nice location, thin walls”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

Location was perfect for us. The beach is just outside the pool area.
There were a lot of restaurants in the area and a lot of buses passed the hotel.
Wifi worked perfectly :)
We did not try the breakfast.

We did find some black hair all over the room, so could do with a better cleaning..

I'd say a good value for your money.

Room Tip: Next time Id ask a room facing the beach, not Collins Avenue.

We stay in September . the personnel was ugly , everything was No No No...the hotel was dirty , the manager does not exist...there is a construction behind so you will enjoy the wonderful noise from 8 am to 5pm . The workers have a wonderful look to the ladies in the hotel pool..and you will listen talks, howling at high volume..all the time.

Room Tip: Do not pay for this hotel Do not be fooled that hotel is a disaster Ask the hotel how they tre...

As others have said, this hotel has its cons, but for easy beach access it was just about perfect, and much more affordable than other hotels on the beach. We loved being able to walk out onto the beach without having to cross the street. Coming in from the beach through the pool area was also a treat--the pool is surrounded by several cabanas with couches. There is even a hammock in the area.

The room was definitely on the small side, but since we only used it for sleeping, we didn't mind. Our room was tiled, so it seemed cleaner than some who had carpeted rooms have said. The biggest downside for us was the noise--street noises, sirens, etc. are clearly heard in the room until late at night, and construction (even on a Saturday) begins right at 8. However, the loudest noise was the wind whipping between the tall buildings, and as that was a less harsh sound than some of the other noises, helped to soften them a bit. Parking was extra, and it was a bit of a drive to South Beach, but overall, we were very happy staying here, saving a little and still being able to enjoy a lovely evening and morning right on the beach.

We booked in to this "hotel" in November. It was a disappointment to say the least. There is no reception just a desk with laptop on it. The staff were not friendly or welcoming. We checked in and went to our room. The carpet in corridor was filthy. Our room was tiny. Bed tiny and extremely hard. The walls are extremely thin. You hear everything from corridor and room next door. The bathroom was clean but the jacuzzi bath was very very small. We went to have a walk around the hotel and went to the pool area. It looked ok. Gym was a thread mill and a few weights behind a curtain!
The next morning the construction started next door. Very loud. We decided to check out after one night even though we had paid for four nights. The hotel was unbearable and I certainly would not recommend this "hotel" to anyone.

We stayed here two nights hotel seemed clean farely new! We stayed on a saturday and sunday night! The room was small but had a big shower and jet tub! Small tv but not a deal breaker! The only problem is during the week theres a hotel being built next to it! So if you will be in on the weekend its a good place

The hotel is a tiny little low storey hotel in between a few high rise hotels, however it makes up for size in every other way. Its quite hard to find from Miami airport but if you have a GPS it makes life a bit easier. The front desk is minimal to say the least but having checked in really quickly and easily we went off to our rooms. They were spacious with a good size bathroom and wardrobe. A safe in the room was standard and plenty of room for cases etc. The hotel backs onto Miami beach which is just perfect, however there is an outdoor pool at the hotel if you're not a fan of the beach which is well kept and plenty big enough. Breakfast was ok..ish, the usual juice, coffee, toast etc but nothing amazing!!!! Would I recommend this hotel??? Yes definitely!!!! And there is a restaurant within a 2 minute walk away called Normans which is well worth a mention!!!!

There is so much I can say about this place, but I am not one to tear down reputations. In a nutshell, it was not a great experience for me. Their pictures of the rooms are not exact. I will tell you the pros and cons but you can direct message me for more...

PROS - location on the beach (right outside the back door), walking distance to grocery and small fast food eateries, clean (if your sheets are not already stained), good breakfast options for a fee, nice backyard pool area with shade.

CONS - no lounge chairs or shade on the beach, thin walls (you hear your neighbors), loud construction next door (including weekends), studio room kitchenette is not efficient with utensils or plates (only microwave, dorm size refrigerator & coffee maker & cups/glasses), you MUST speak Spanish to some of the staff (most do not speak English - including guests). People smoke in the backyard pool area where there is shade.

I see the quality in this place, but what matters more to me was not provided at this hotel. It was NOT PERFECT!

If you are ok with speaking Spanish most of the time, can stay on the beach without shade, can tolerate thin walls and can always spend money to eat out, this might be for you.

Room Tip: If you are tall like me, you must have a king size bed otherwise the double beds are not long enough...
