“Quality rooms and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

We have stayed at the Setai twice and really enjoyed the room and proximity to the beach. For our needs, we like the location a bit further north of all the Miami Beach "action" and found the class and sophistication right to my wife's liking. This is one of her favorite hotels. Rooms are quiet and the blinds will give you near darkness just in case you stayed out late and need to sleep in. During our last stay, the warmest pool was dominated by some loud kids which was unfortunate. However, while the pool is not "the scene" for singles, it is perfect if you want to relax. The only negative is the price of the restaurants at the hotel. We usually had breakfast at Maxine's diner which is a short two block walk and found the prices for our minimalist serving size just right. If money is no object, this is a 5 star rating.

Room Tip: Staying on the Collins Ave side is OK but you should try to avoid the first two floors of rooms

The hotel is gorgeous, the lobby smells very well, but The house keeper robe my Chanel wachtch and some new BCBG dresses I just bought a day before besides some other things. It was a day of shopping. They seem to be sorry but the thing is my things are gone. Also the pool was not working is now in renovation.

Room Tip: If you go there yo have ti have all your things locked.

This hotel is all about service and providing their guests with an amazing experience. The hotel is under renovation and the pools were closed, but that was just a slight issue. The staff more than made up for any inconvenience but always going a step above you expect. The lobby and center court are beautiful and relaxing, the restaurants and bar are great and the beach staff and amenities are as good as you can find anywhere. We would never stay anyplace else from this point on when we visit Miami.

Room Tip: The two bedroom suites are great for two couples or a small family and the views were amazing.

Well we walked into one of the leading hotels,of the world to the sound of jack hammers jacking away. We where told pools are closed and hotel was under construction. I asked for an upgrade and was told no even though I'm with Amex and a world card holder. Boy was I mad after asking for an upgrade for me and my friend the answer was no no no. After threatening letters etc I finally managed to get for a small increase a 2 bedroom suite and it was great. No pool only beach but the staff was great. After the initial hour problem I was we'll on my way to a great stay. One last thing the buffet breakfast is AWESOME

Spacious, modern apartment suites. We were on a high floor overlooking the ocean. There is everything you could need in the room. The staff are friendly in that sort of higher establishment way, they were pleasant and helpful. There is a beautiful lounge area set within a large groundlevel waterway, so peaceful and serene, a beautiful design. However, getting a coffee in the lounge in the morning was not easy. I got the impression that the waitresses were only interested in selling breakfast. I don't eat breakfast, just wanted to enjoy the surroundings and drink coffee but I had to get up and ask for coffee while waiters walked passed me without asking if I wanted anything. There then seemed to be a bit of a problem with getting a coffee, eventually I did get it but it was cold and cost the earth. I expect to pay a lot for coffee in a place such as this but I also expect to be served and to be served a good quality product. However that is my only complaint, the pool area is lovely and the pool service excellent, the reception area and welcome on arrival was lovely.

Room Tip: I had a one bedroom suite on a high floor, I believe that all rooms have an ocean view. This room h...
