“The best!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2008

My Husband and I just had dinner at Ola on Friday, July 18, 2008. I never write reviews but this was such a great place that I HIGHLY recommend it. Ask for Marcus to wait on you. He will give you the best service. We also ate at Nemo which was very good as well!

Super service....FANTASTIC FOOD! Only complaint was that we got pushed out of the restaurant so they could close...it was only 10:30pm on a Thursday???

“Hands down, my favorite...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2008

Hands down, my favorite restaurant in Miami. The Executive Chef is Doug Rodriguez...his name might not be that familiar, but he brought about the whole "Floribbean" cuisine revolution, along with a couple of other greats (such as Chef Norman Van Aiken). The ceviche selection alone is worth the trip to OLA, you'll have to buy a few and share with the table...not ONE is to be missed!!!! OLA specializes in traditional (or "criollo") cuisine, but with a Floridian /nouvelle twist. Don't let that descritor freak you out though....everything, and I mean EVERYTHING from the Pan de Bono you get as you wait for the meal, all the way down to dessert; the chocolate cigar is as innovative as it is decadent, and the deconstructed Key Lime Pie is so flavorful, so airy, fresh and delicate that those horrible tourists traps who sell "key lime pie" should hang their heads in absolute shame. OLA's (relatively) new location at the Sanctuary guarantees that the atmosphere is as sophisticated and unforgettable as the fabulous, well informed staff and the sumptuous cuisine...NOT TO BE MISSED
