This was our favourite breakfast haunt.
Food was standard breakfast fare e.g. eggs, waffles,cereal etc, cooked any way you wanted. Or you could stick to the menu suggestions.
My favourite was cream cheese, bagel and tomato with a smattering of caper berries.
Whatever you choose it will be cooked perfectly, and at a reasonable price.
Lots of locals seem to eat here, including traffic wardens and cops, so it must be good.
Service can be a little bit slow, but this was a minor irritation.
Restaurant is set on the main road, but in the morning at least it is very quiet, with little traffic.
We did not go here for a main meal.

Big Pink is a must if you are in South Beach. They have indoor and outdoor seating. can accomodate large groups.
Wonderful drink choices and an eclectic menu. I tried some of what everyone ordered, and everyone's food was really good.

It is in a great location if you are headed to Opium, as it is across the streat.
Big Pink is open super late and keeps serving alcohol, so even when you get kicked out of Opium at 5 or 6 a.m. you can head across the street to Big Pink for breakfast and more alcohol. We loved it!!

Question: What kind of resturaunt has a line coming cout of it at 10:30 am on a Sunday? None I have ever been to, except Big Pink.

In short, neat pace with huge, tasty food, but not sure what the big deal is that makes it such a tourist magnet. Once you get your "table", you are hustled to a thin, wobbly structure in a deafening cavern of a resturaunt to rub elbows, literally, with many, many other noisy diners. Does this barnyard feeding atmosphere add to the experience? Well, OK, sure.

The food was good and ther service brisk and competent, but I had to shout to the server to make myself heard. The menu selection is enormous with just about every type of food imaginable- burgers, wraps, seafood, Mexican, etc. The Big Pink Smoothie was excellent. The veggie burger my wife ordered was as big as her head and I got the special, the TV Dinner Tray. For this day, it was southwesten fare- the steak quesedillas were very good and the portions were gluttonous, horray for America.

Although it was a fun, circus like dining experience, I am serious about the noise. BRING EARPLUGS.

The Big Pink offers a little respite amidst the SoBe attitude. I am always happy to have a business lunch here. The waitstaff is attentive and usually friendly. The menu is huge and makes it difficult to decide. You can have breakfast any time. The portions are also huge and I always have to get a "doggie bag." The salads are fab. The pizza is great. Breakfast is typical for a diner.

The atmosphere is typical for a NY diner and might surprise a few people expecting more of a South Beach atmosphere. The place is always busy. When it is really full with a tour group, it is really loud and difficult to have normal conversation. I usually choose to sit at a table outside. Great for people watching.

Prices are reasonable, especially for South Beach. For two, the check is usually about $35. Unlike most places in South Beach, gratuity is not added to the check! Big Pink is a great place to grab a bite.
