We ate at Nemo last Wednesday night and had an absolutely excellent meal, the food is really top notch and very inventive with flavors and textures. However, do not accept seating on the inside bench seat tables - these are the tables where one diner sits on a long bench shared by tables next to you and one sits opposite the bench on a chair. These inside "bench tables" are placed so closely together that one has to turn sideways to slide between the tables to reach the bench. The result is some of the best quality food, ruined by the totally unacceptable noise from the tables on either side of you and around you. By 8:15 PM the noise level in the inside seating area was like a bar at Friday happy hour - not what I expected from a restaurant serving food of this quality. Between that and the cologne from the diners on either side we were very distracted from the food. There are three or four standalone tables inside (as I recall) and more outside. If I went again, I'd definitely ask to be seated outside -- the inside noise and minimal distance between the tables are just too much to put up with when paying premium prices for top-rate meals. Oh -- almost forgot - we were two of four folks there when we arrived, but oddly enough they filled up every table around us on our side of the dining room -- rather than spreading them around as they arrived . . . which only contributed to the noise issue for anyone seated.
