“Disappointing.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

It's a nice hostel but be aware. We took a 4bd a room. Even if u paid deposit with hostels.com the bal that u will be paying will have a hidden 13% taxes. Yes it's HIDDEN n it didn't say anything on the printed confirmation. If you are driving and would like to get a parking with them it's $15/day BUT there will be a $50 HIDDEN DEPOSIT.

So after we checked in, went to the beach we came back to a hoarder in our room! She had all her stuffs all over the room even on our beds! Giving an excuse the guy who got her said the room was empty, n it's the same person who chk us in. So blahblahblah in the end they gave us a new room but this time the aircon was blasting n because its centralize. The bed spring was so bad and it made my night even worst.

I'm still awake, cold with a bad backache. :'(

it looks like one of those horror movie rooms where the characters get kill!! clean? surprised i didnt see any cockroaches, but they probably couldnt survive the dirtiness. room was extremely small seeing that we told them we had 10 people and they only gave us 3 beds! service...wait, we had service???!!!!!! i didnt see a single person around to help! like i said, it looked deserted! i for one cant find a single value from this place so i cant comprehend how anyone can pay so much for such a run down place. btw the beds creaked, the bathroom smelled, the tub/shower look like someone died in it(literally people, im sorry to kill your hopes), the closet looked like the guy from saw was hiding in it for a few years, but there was a small flat screen tv. idk the size cause it was smaller than the ones im used to... good luck to any of you who booked this place. watch out for yourselves around this place especially at night, not safe.

Great price, great location, great staff, very helpful.
You have the 150 bus every 20 min, that goes from the airport station, to washington ave and the 2nd street. Thats the same block as the hostel.

I really enjoyed being with so many people from around the world.

The WiFi is almost a must for a tourist, and its free! It could be a little bit faster, but is okay.

There is a bit of loud music at night, because there is a pre party for 2 hours from 22:00 to 00:00. then its off.

Im definitely comming here next time again.

Everything seemed pretty clean and neat, staff was helpful and the breakfast was good. Located a few blocks from the beach and a few minutes walking from South Pointe Park, which is for me the best place in SoBe. Great night schedule with best parties in town. Room was really hostel-like, small and not so comfy, but still good. The internet connection, however, isn't reliable at all.

I stayed in this hostel on November/2012 for 3 days. The rooms are clean, I stayed in a room with 5 more girls, very tight the size of the room. The location is good as I came directly from the airport, with the bus 150. The breakfast was good with many options, basic but good.
Good price for the room. Free wireless was nice. Several restaurants and store malls around the area.
Aspects not good: there is no bathroom in the room, it is a shared one down the hall.
I'd recommend this hostel if you will stay for a few days.

- The WiFi didn't work in the rooms.
- The receptionist forgot to order the transfer for us.
- The cleanliness of the male's restroom was terrible (the female's was better).
- The other guests were totally jerk (like monkeys and nobody told them that there are others in the hostel who want to sleep).
- The beds were unconfortable.
- The A/C had strange noise even if we turned it off.

If you want to sleep DO NOT COME HERE!!!

I have stayed at this hostel several times, and unfortunately they don't listen to criticism. The hostel is clean and has a perfect location on South Beach, but the internet is completely useless and most often there is almost no water in the showers. When there is water, it's quite often only cold water.

The facilities in general feels very outdated, and the showers could really need a renovation. Most of the dorms are small, and the ones equipped with a dedicated A/C is very noisy.

The bar downstairs is open every night and becomes rather noisy. Avoid dorm rooms on the second floor on top of the bar, or close to the bar.

All in all, this hostel is cheap and located perfectly on 235 Washington Ave, just 4 minutes to the beach walking.

As for the poor internet connection, try free WiFi at 5th St around TGI Fridays or Fresh on Fifth. Starbucks and Burger King also offers free WiFi, and is close by.

Room Tip: Avoid dorm rooms on the second floor on top of the bar, or close to the bar. Dorm rooms with A/C are...
