“Awesome Cuban food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

We wanted to eat Cuban food once again before we left Miami, so we went back to Lincoln Road and stepped into Yuca. Our server wore a hat and Ray-Bans (strange) the entire time while he served us, but anyway.. food came out fast and Mojitos were good (they use a blender for mint leaves) but no complaints as they were strong. Funny thing, We got some bread while we were halfway through our entree. The guys at the table next to us, looked, smiled and gave us this advice "Make sure you ask for bread because you have to ask for bread here or else they won't give you any." We couldn't help stuffing ourselves with it. IT WAS DELICIOUS!

“Ok...where is the so called vibe?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

So...we heard great reviews...people recommended us to go...so we did!
We went to the Lincoln rd restaurant in SoBe. We were in the area for lunch,so we thought why not!
We were seated halfheartedly...no enthusiasm..no vibe whatsoever!
We got the "sleepy waiter".....enough said!!!
There was also a "grumpy" waitress around who kept dropping things, swearing, and in a general huff....the mood was very strained....like we were in her way...I guessshewashaving a bad day...but the whole restaurant knew it!
The food was very yummy though! We ordered the crumbed chicken sandwich...and the burger with guacamole which they made for me with no onions...no fuss...the chef said he'd make it no probs.
The mojitos were delish...the mint was blended, so you weren't chewing on the leaves or moving them around! Delish!!!
The Cuban music in the background was fantastic...loved it!
The overall experience was okkkk....not great...won't go back again....
I guess it may be better if we went for dinner and not lunch??!
Anyway...go and check it...maybe for dinner!

“Saturday Salsa...all night long!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

This place is amazing any night but especially Saturday!

I was in Miami for the weekend and Yuca didn't disappoint.

We went there twice while we were in town. It was really great!

There are salsa lessons which we missed! However, starting around 10, ladies are free.

There was live entertainment (Dancing girls and a performance from the salsa class) and a DJ. There was also floor to ceiling tv monitors showing music videos. There were a number of couches and Bar tables.

We also enjoyed people watching--there were some amazing dancers there that night. The music was so much fun!

Next time I would take the salsa lessons and stay the night dancing away! I think it's fun even if you've never danced salsa before!

It was truly a memorable night!

“Very disappointed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

Service in South Beach is notoriously bad and unfortunately this place is no different.
Came here with my wife and friend. . .the waiter promptly came took our order and drink order (we ordered a bottle of wine) and he brought the food out (it was good food) and brought wine bottle and poured us all a glass and then HE DISAPPEARED. He didnt come back to give us water and forgot an appetizer and never refilled our wine bottle (wasnt cheap), and btw he added 18% gratuity for that "excellent service" which is standard in SoBe. I heard you can refuse to pay the gratuity if you ask for manager but of course we didnt find out this important bit of info until after we had the displeasure of eating here. If we hadnt had the great company of my friend who I had not seen in long time and who lives in Miami I probably would have made a bigger deal at that moment.. . in any case wont come back here.

TIP: you can refuse the 18% gratuity and tip what u feel like tipping

“Great tuna and mojitos”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

We ate dinner at YUCA and had attentive servers. The food was good, the mojitos were very good, and my daughter's tuna was EXCELLENT. We ate outside, and I was surprised when I went inside to use the restrooms after the meal to find a buzzing atmosphere!
