Walked by this resaturant during the day, and I have to say that I would probably go for a late lunch at those prices rather than dinner. On par with other Lincoln Rd. restaurants.
The menu offers some tapas style eats for the first half of menu, and some entrees for the second half. Drinks and dinner for two ran us about $100. Food was nicely presented, but small portions for price. What? No yuca con mojo? Granted, the namesake of the restaurant has been altered, but this is a cuban staple, and not available, even off menu.
The mojitos were decent, but I felt small and overpriced at $12 a pop. Instead of the usual muddling of the ingredients, they put them through a blender, which is an interesting twist, and makes for a visually appealing drink with a frothy top. The mango variation was good, as was the "hemmingway" which uses 10 Cane Rum.
The service was friendly, and the restaurant's decor was inviting inside. Bathrooms were clean.
I agree with previous reviewers. If you want authentic old school Cuban, this is not the place. If you're in the mood for tapas-style eats, not bad. Would go for a late lunch instead and take advantage of the price differential for the same food.
