“Great Place for Drinks or Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

Great place on Lincoln Road. Get an outdoor table with a breeze, and enjoy the Mojitos and people-watching. Also, really good live entertainment upstairs in the evenings... 7 nights a week!

“Great food, great service.....late nights, no problem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

We got there on a Saturday night, at around 1am, no problem, full menu. The waiter was very nice and really excited about what we were ordering. He came through because the food was excellent. It was too bad we got there so late because we were told that the live music is also really good, the waiter said they usually play till 1, so we just missed them. Sitting outside is usually the way to go, you can sit and people watch while you eat. Definitely recommend this place for its food, its atmosphere, and the service.

“A model of a place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

The Van Dyke is a standard with us. We go there almost every time we visit Miami (live in Fort Lauderdale, so often). A great place for breakfast or lunch and some of the best people watching you can find.

“did I upset the server?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

My boyfriend and I came to eat at 1120pm for some late dinner. He had a cheesesteak sub and I only a salad because I had eaten earlier. For some reason the server (tall man with glasses) seemed to be annoyed. We are anot an expensive table but the time we came before we had two salads and received such beautiful service from a young lady that we tipped 40 percent of our check, no problem! The server was leaning watching tv or leaning holding conversations with other employees while my drink was empty. When I waved and got his attention from someone else I asked for refill and he returned with two full cups, slammed them on the table and walked away seemingly annoyed. So here we sat with all these drink glasses. I hope he has a better night. Just because the tip is included and the bill is low, Robert should remember that we could have left more. I'm sorry I had this experience and truly wish servers would realize that service is service whether the tab is 31 dollars or 300 . On the bright side the busser was very sweet!!!!
