The food in this restaurant is outstanding. I have eaten in many French restaurants and love French food. I lived in Bruxelles for several years so I have had great French food and this restaurant ranks with some of the best.
When we arrived, we planned on eating indoors, but the dining room seemed too bright and a bit loud. Instead we choose the beautiful outdoor courtyard dining. The atmosphere was great. We had been warned by a friend that the portions were very large and to share. The prices are also high, but most dishes can be shared. Our waiter also suggesting sharing. We shared 2 appetizers and one entree creating a three course meal. We started with French Onion Soup and is was excellent. We followed with coquilles saint-Jacques made with lobster and scallops. It was full of wonderful flavor and perfectly cooked. We then had Salt and Herb encrusted whole Bronzino. This was the one "bump" in the night as the waiter seemed to have some trouble filleting and deboning the fish. My half had several bones in it, but the fish was unbelievable. Perfectly cooked and moist and infused with subtle favors. The dish came with a side of perfectly prepared roast vegetables. This was one of the best fish dishes I have ever had. (I live in Key West, so I eat a lot of fish!) I could not let the few bones take a star away from this review. The fish was too good! We were too full for dessert, but the soufflés look delicious.
Yes, the prices are high. However, the quality and experience are worth every penny, and since you can easily share, the price did not seem out of line with other fine dining options. 5 stars!
