“Very Surprised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

I visited Juvia this past Saturday night with my sister and boyfriend for dinner. This place is gorgeous - the scene definitely did not disappoint. We ordered the Salmon Nashi for an appetizer- which was to-die-for! However, they forget to bring it to us- after asking where it was- our waiter apologized profusely and offered a round of drinks on the house. After we finished the appetizer, we waited close to an hour for our entree to arrive. One member of our party ordered a steak which was cold upon arrival. He simply sent it back to be warmed up, and it was delicious when it came back. I had the Chilean seabass which was DELICIOUS! We then enjoyed Juvia shots - so yummy - and each had a dessert (choco croustillant and chocolate candy bar). When it was time for our bill to arrive, Anton, came over to explain that they would be taking care of our entire bill for the evening due to the inconveniences we experienced. He mentioned that he didn't want us to have "bad memories" and that he hoped we would come back. We will definitely give Juiva another chance - the rooftop atmosphere is beautiful and this food is delicious. Although we had to spend a considerable time waiting, we very much enjoyed our evening and appreciated the management making amends by taking care of our bill.

“Loved Juvia!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

I am very, very surprised to read the "Horrible" review in the sidebar as I write this...I could have eaten at Juvia every night. The location is fabulous and offers two very different experiences based on whether you prefer to dine indoors or outdoors. We opted for the latter and were not disappointed. The DJ played wonderful music and the open-air feel gave off a great vibe. Our server, and I wish I could remember her name, was absolutely fantastic: extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the menu (food, wine, cocktails) and offering detailed descriptions of menu items and great recommendations. The menu, while eclectic, offers so many options...our biggest challenge was trying to choose. The most delicious thing by far, though, was the hamachi noritaki, which I could have eaten for the entire meal. My fish entree was a special and quite delicious, too. We all loved it. Bravo, Juvia! Can't wait to come back next month!!

“Horrible!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012 via mobile

Horrible food too pricy for what it's worth! The service doesn't match for what you are paying for. It's like paying for just view. I do not recommend it to no one! My partner had to go to the bathroom and release the waste that they provided.

“Fantastic experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012 via mobile

I love food and restaurant, i've tried many great places around the world...yes this is expensive, but if you want to enjoy a great dinner, fusion food, great view and great atmosphere, try Juvia. This place opened 8 monts ago and i would say one of the best table in Southbeach. The menu is compex so make sure you ask all the tips from the servers. Great service by Marina...enjoy..this should be way more closer to top 10 than its current position

“Juvia Exceeds Expactations !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

The buzz surrounding Juvia since its opening earlier in 2012 is well-deserved. We were 4 for a birthday lunch midweek and had the place almost to our selves. Hot outside so took a corner table in the glass-walled main dining room. Views to die for. The "special" was Japanese "bento" boxes in about 5 assortments (beef, pork, tuna, etc.) for $23 and was very tasty and very good value. Dessert was a "deconstructed" key lime sortbet torte for $10 - delicious. Wine by the glass for $12. Total bill $200 for 4 for lunch. The server pushed a few things as they always so (bottled water, coffee) but backed down when she got a no, and was quite helpful in explaining that the dessert was not a piece of pie but something totally different - helpful.
