When we arrived, the room was so tiny we had nowhere to put our suitcases, or to even move around!! It also had an air con unit that had no remote and was stuck on a temperature that was warm, and there was no way we could change it, or even turn it off... Apparently there was nothing anyone could do about this, so we would have to wait for the morning, then I took my shoes off and there was sand and dirt all over the floor and we hadn't been to the beach yet, so it wasn't from us!! The side table had filthy marks all over it that came off when I wiped it... When we complained we were told that they would make a note for the cleaners...
In the morning it went from bad to even worse, after a hot sticky night due to the air con being stuck on a hot temperature I was looking forward to a shower, when I turned on the shower the temperature felt fine, but when I hopped in it was scalding hot, and when I tried to turn the shower knob back to cold it went even hotter and there was no cold water at all... We called the front desk who at first she was friendly and tried being helpful, she was going to try to find another room, we waited for 20minutes and hadn't heard anything, I was still in a towel as I was waiting to have my shower... We ended up ringing again and she said there were no spare rooms so we we're going to have to wait at least an hour for maintenance to come and fix it... But she said she would keep trying for a room and see if there was anything they could do... We waited another 10 minutes and still heard nothing!! It took my partner going down to the front desk and demanding that we either get a refund or a new room... So much for no spare rooms, within two minutes we were moved to a new room!!!
Will not be going back here, as there were more problems in one night than we have had in our ten week trip!!! Service was well below average, all of the staff were extrememly unfriendly and you knew that none of them wanted to be at work!! Don't work in the hospitality industry if you do not want to deal with people!! If you like to stay in a closet, then I recommend this place, but it was not worth the hassle for us!!
Although the location was really great, so if you don't care about what kind of room you are in, then it will be fine for you...

We stayed for 2 weeks in hotel Delores. The staff made us feel very welcome. The hotel is located on a very nice place, close to the beach en close to the Art deco district. Our room was very big and comfortable, worth all our money.

Dont get taken in by the pictures of this hotel!! The 'lobby' is not really one. It can seat 3 people comfortably, and a 4th if you squeeze in. Thats it. The rooms are fine for 1 person but too small for 2 people. Its more like a 1-2 star hotel. However, the rooms are clean and comfortable with all basic ammenities. Its just that the hotel has nothing else besides 20 odd rooms and the tiny 'lobby'. Its ok if you want to use it just to sleep in the night and bathe in the morning, not if you want to lounge around in the room or anywhere else. My room window opened into the parking lot of the hotel next door. Since it was raining one day, i spent a few hours staring at the hood of a Honda, barely 3 feet away from my nose. The airconditioner is way too small for a room that size and its a split (no central aircon) that needs to be left on 24 hours a day for the room to be adequately comfortable. I spent 2 nights in the hotel and did not put it off even once, a big waste of power. Considering what i paid for the 2 nights, i would have easily got a much better property, equally well located, with a restaurant, pool and lounge. The friendliness of the staff also varied a lot dependingo on who was on duty. The 'reception' is basically 2 desks for computers and printers, the kind you see in offices. I would not stay here again simply coz the price is too steep for what little it offers.

Hotel is very well located on Collins St. close to the beach, Lincoln Mall, Ocean Drive etc., but there are a lot of hotels in the area. Staff is OK friendly when there. The “full size bed” is minimal. We had room 11, which had a window to a small alley where they had a small room with some hotel stuff, which was cooled by a noisy ventilator. We could also here the housekeepers talking there from early in the morning. So between the horrible and small bed, the humming refrigerator, the noisy AC, the shouting housekeepers and the paper thin walls it was impossible to get a decent night of sleep. The hotel went apparently through a renovation recently, but it did not look so in our room. Furthermore, the hotel advertises with free parking if there is place, which is not true. You have to pay 25 USD a day for a parking spot at their sister hotel. The breakfast was a juice and a muffin. Would not recommend this hotel and would rather not come back to Miami than stay there again.
