As part of the last leg of our trip to the Florida Keys, we spent a few hours in Little Havana, and a had a nice lunch. Then we headed up to Miami Beach. We parked in a garage, and walked down to the boardwalk. It was a very well manicured, and clean environment. I remember being in MB in the early 1980s, when it was kind of a dump. It is miraculous what they have done with it now. It was interesting to see the hotels from the back side, away form Collins Avenue. The various "pool scenes" were quite entertaining. Several of the upscale hotels had double-decker cabanas! I would highly recommend this boardwalk for anyone looking for some (mostly) quiet and shade. There were a lot of people on bikes and roller blades, which must have been available for rent somewhere on the beach.
