Right from the start things were bad. We had requested an early check-in since my husband had to arrive early (9am) to set up for a convention and we were told no rooms were available to leave our bags at the front and come back around noon. There was nothing we could do so we ventured out. We came back at noon to be told a room is still not available, check back in a couple of hours. We did not get into a room until 3:30pm. We had reserved a king bed with a desk and an ocean view. We got a 2 double bed room with a small round table as a desk and their idea of an ocean view is to lean over your balcony as far as you can and turn your head to the left. The lobby was renovated and nice, but there was a pungent tropical smell that had to have been piped through the vents. As you venture farther into the hotel you can see the renovations stopped at the lobby. The rooms and all furnishings are very outdated, the back elevator looked like they should have been a freight elevator and our room was not cleaned until late afternoon which put a damper on my day being done with my activities. All in all I could classify it as just a bed to sleep in. We will not be staying at another Best Western

Stayed here for 2 nights before boarding a cruise ship. rooms are a bit dated but safe, clean with comfortable beds. Staff was friendly. location is great, we had a great view to the ocean!!!! all rooms have fridge. pool is small but they provide towels for the beach

Perfect location, close to south beach n LIV one to the best night club, very clean rooms n bathroom, beautiful view to the ocean, the staff was very friendly with me and friends. Even that we get too early they help me out with an early check in. Definitely we are coming back soon

I read back several reviews on this hotel. I think some aspects have obviously been improved whilst there is some obvious work to be done.

The front of house staff are generally very slow, rude and unhelpful. The concierge was the obvious exception however he was "run off his feet". The heating in the rooms is not - still only cold air blown. Rooms tend to be a bit noisy late at night and early morning - either from other guest rooms or from the houskeeping staff. The room I had was of a reasonable standard although the bathroom is quite tired. Beds have obviously been upgraded since some previous reviews and the linen was acceptable. However the room was not cleaned until nearly 4pm.

The free wi fi in rooms, the location of the hotel were probably the best aspects of this hotel.
