This hotel was great! We stayed in 203 which is privatly owned and I have to say it was extremely clean and nicely decorated! If you love shopping, it is close to everything. Just walk out your door and cross the street and you are there in the middle of shopper's paradise and the beach is just right up the road! My boyfriend and I stayed here and it was our first time in SoBe. We walked everywhere. This hotel is definatly in the middle of everything that is going on. We walked up the road and saw one of the hotels we were initially going to stay at before we booked our stay and it was dead with nothing really going on around it. We are poor college students so this place was affordable and comfortable. The hot tub was also a very secluded and romantic spot for us to rlax at the end of the day! We are glad we booked this hotel because it was so convienient, but if you stay make sure you ask to stay in 203 because the owner, Dave is very friendly and helpful!

I'm not sure what the other people were talking about. This place sure isn't a 5 star hotel but that's not what I paid for. I paid 85 bucks a night and it was worth every dollar. There was wireless internet which was great cause I brought my laptop with me for business. I stayed in rm 203 was absolutely spotless and had really cool amenities like a bike and flat screen TV. The place has a great jacuzzi on the sun deck and is only 2 blocks from the best part of the beach. I'd definitely stay there again.

My friend and I went to South Beach in June and our plane arrived late, so we didn't get to our hotel until after midnight. The cab driver and both of us were not even sure where the front door to the hotel was because it was in a dark alley with no address posted! I got out of the cab and tried to open the door, but it was locked and had to be opened by the girl at the front desk. The cab driver waited on the sidewalk until we got into the hotel because he was afraid for our safety!! Once we got in, the two staff members at the front desk were VERY sketchy acting and weird!! But, because it was late, we knew we had no other choice but to stay here, so we got our room key and got on the elevator. When the door opened we were disgusted. The hallways are very dark and dingy and the room numbers are not even hung straight! We got to our room and it was AWFUL!! It smelled like fish and mildew and was very cold and prisonlike. It was filthy dirty and the "kitchenette" is a JOKE!! I wouldn't even touch it, let alone eat or drink anything from it. No dishes or cups were available either. The bathroom was sick! We decided to get another hotel as soon as possible!! The next morning we dealt with a VERY rude woman at the desk when we were checking out. There were people in front of us at the desk who were also checking out because they were just as disgusted as we were! I have read other reviews of this place since I stayed there and like many of them, it is true-this is a horrible, unsafe place with doors by the beds that lead to ?? I felt very scared being that my friend and I are 25 year old females in a very bad part of South Beach. Basically, DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!!!

I'm currently staying here and am not looking forward to trying to get to sleep tonight. There's a constant grumbling through the wall that's far from white noise. The room is dank and its attempt at style is nauseating. The guy at the desk looked at me like I had just ruined his night when I went to check in. 12" TV with the filthiest remote I've ever seen. Completely unsafe. Dark. It's like an expensive hostel. Think the St. James Hotel in Big starring Tom Hanks. Don't stay here.
