“Very manageable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

You don't necessarily go to Miami to visit museums, but I enjoyed the Wolfsonian. They have three floors open and you can do the museum in 90 minutes. I really liked the post card exhibit and the permanent collection. There are also free concerts in the lobby fairly often, so call ahead and maybe plan your visit around that. We saw a pianist and violinist who played Debussy and Beethoven and it was a lovely experience.

“Thoroughly enjoyed this little gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

I love furnishings of 20's and 30s. This museum gave another perspective on the Art Deco movement. It is the perfect size exhibit for a quiet couple of hours during a busy vacation. Charming shop and cafe. Saw the Weiner Werkstatte post card exhibit. Too bad more reproductions were not available in the gift shop. There were some charming designs.

“Good, small, eclectic museum in Deco District”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

We really enjoyed our visit on a cloudy early afternoon. Exhibits take about 90 minutes totall - spread across several smallish floors. Architecture was awesome. Neat gift store and cafe on 1st floor. Good sidewalk shops and cafes within 1 or 2 blocks.

“A must, especially if the weather is wet or HOT”

A lovely gem with several traveling exhibits and permanent exhibits. Truly well done and is modern and open to the traditional and experimental. Right on Washington Ave in the midst of everything!

“my bad”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

maybe i dont understand art very much but i didnt find this musuem very interesting or maybe cos i m european and i m used to other types of musuem but beyond some old house facilities i haven't found anything interesting.
5 floor that show something about american history but nothing special.
at the lobby there is a "bar" where you can have a drink or buy some particular "souvenir" but prices are really high.
i would suggest you to visit it on friday 'cos from 6pm to 9pm the entrance is free.

Hi,

Thanks so much for your review and for visiting the museum. Sorry you didn't have the best experience. We are actually a museum and research center that uses objects to illustrate the persuasive power of art and design, and to explore what it means to be modern - so our collection is actually international, with much of our collection coming from France, Italy, Great Britain, and Russia. Perhaps you'll give us another try next time you are here.

Thanks again!
