“First time in Miami”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

First time in Miami and someone recommended me to Red South Beach, the price we found was very fair. The hotel is beautiful itself its a bit tiny but really nice. The staff was great!! Very friendly and willing to help. The food was also very good at the hotel. The only bad thing was that its a nice distance from the strip on ocean drive but its not that bad if you like to walk. I would stay here again the beach is across the street and you have lots of stores at a walking distance. If you do rent a car though parking stinks!!!! Thats the only bad thing inreally have to say other than that my stay was great!

I had a great experience in this hotel, so clean and in a good location.
Large double bedroom with goodsized bathroom, with all the comfort.
Staff always helpfully and kind.
Nice outdoor space with swimming pool.
The beach is just at the other side of the street
Everything close to the centre but in a really quite location.
I loved the style of the ambients and the "really ugly lift" was a good way to change one negative aspect into a funny one.
Rich and good breakfast in the morning.
I really suggest this hotel to everyone who love staying in a young contest but quite at the same time. Good for couples, group of friends and families.
I'm rating with 4 stars instead of 5 because I was there for a business travel so I cannot say anything about the parking, the food and the price.

We had a good night sleep and the hotel is not noisy at all, but the problem is parking, they offer Valet but as it's a crowded area they fill up their capacity pretty quick so we had to park in a public parking which wasn't an issue at night but the next morning was a pain as you don't find parking as there are too many constructions going on, the hotel was great pretty clean, bathroom a bit small but you are in south beach so it can't be big, the lobby person in the morning was a bit rude but that is normal in Miami in certain areas.

Dear Sam Guate:
Thank you so much for taking the time to review your recent stay at RED South Beach. We are delighted that you found the hotel to be quiet, clean and well-located. It is our goal to provide each of our guests with clean, comfortable accommodations and friendly, courteous service. Our Petite Queen rooms are the best option for budget travelers allowing guests close proximity to our beaches at an economy price. Perhaps you would enjoy a Standard King room on your next visit. These rooms are also suitable for two guests and provide more space and our largest beds.
We do apologize for our valet lot being filled to capacity during your stay. As an alternative, street parking is always available at a rate of only $1/ hour between 8 AM and 6 PM; a total of $10 for a 24 hour period.
It would be our pleasure to host you again should your travels bring you back to South Florida. Please contact me directly concierge@redsouthbeach.com for rates or to further discuss any aspect of your visit with us.

Stayed at the Red for two weeks from the 19th of September with my wife. Have to say that the staff at this hotel are excellent and make your stay a very enjoyable experience.
The food served at the on site Barok Restaurant was also excellent and we had quite a few meals during our stay here. They also serve a complimentary cocktail of the day prepared by their excellent manager Antwon.
Despite being called Red South Beach it is on the very edge so be prepared to walk to see Ocean Drive and the Art Deco area etc. The humidity makes walking a drag if you are going to SoBe in the evening but the bus service in the area is excellent and very cheap. We took the 150 straight from the airport to the Red for $2.65 per person and arrived within 20 minutes so can't complain.
The pool is small but clean and nice to cool off in at the end of the day. Due to the amount of construction going on in the area it is very noisy during the day so make use of the free towels and chairs the hotel offer and stroll over to the beach which is only 2 minutes away. Overall this is an excellent hotel and well worth a visit.

Dear A Trip Advisor Member:
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent, excellent two week “great stay” at RED South Beach; we are just thrilled that you enjoyed your time on property, our clean, comfortable rooms, nightly cocktail at Barok and our excellent staff and service.
Our location, just one block west of the sand, offers guests close proximity to our amazing beaches and a wealth of public transportation. The new Airport Flyer Bus (#150) is incredibly convenient and provides service every 30 minutes from the beach to MIA, seven days a week.
We are delighted that you enjoyed your numerous visits to Barok. Thank you also for your rave review of the restaurant’s General Manager, Antwon; his service is spectacular.
We look forward to your return to South Florida and RED South Beach, in the meantime please follow us on Facebook and Twitter @RedSouthBeach.

My husband booked us for 5 days at this hotel and I had a wonderful stay. The décor was classy and chic, the staff was courteous and friendly and most importantly, the rooms were clean and spacious. The pool is not huge but is also very clean and surrounded by nice seating area where you can bring your own food or purchase from the poolside restaurant. The restaurant is a little pricey but the food is great. The hotel also provides complimentary beach chairs and towels (the beach is right across the street) and you can get a daily evening cocktail (special of the day) on the house! This hotel is located further up north from the main South Beach area , but you can purchase an unlimited one day bus pass for about $6 per person; we purchased ours at a nearby CVS (at the tour kiosk). The bus operates until late night, so it was pretty convenient. In short, I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it as well.

Room Tip: Request a room on a higher floor to avoid construction noise from across the street.

We enjoyed our two nights at the Red. All of the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel, as advertised is a small "boutique" property. We were upgraded to a poolside cabana room which was quite nice and spacious. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. Loved the shower and the bath had plenty of room for two. It is a bit away from the Historic District so to get to the Art Deco area or Lincoln Road or Little Havana you need some transport. There is public bus available, but a charge of $2.50 per person per ride (to go two miles) seems a bit much. Taxi is also an option. (not to fault the hotel on this) Parking is problematic as there is limited valet parking and only street parking available. There is a public lot about 3 blocks away. Would not like to have to find parking in season! The beach is just a short walk and the boardwalk is great as is the beach. Pool is small but fun. There is quite a bit of street noise at just about all hours and construction around the block during the day. But this is a big city after all. Unless you like having a room poolside, I would recommend requesting a room on a higher floor (more quiet).

Dear Margaret A:
Thank you for your Four Star review of your recent visit to our boutique hotel, RED South Beach.
It was a pleasure to have you and your husband join us on property if only for a brief visit and we are thrilled that you found our rooms to be clean and staff to be “helpful and accommodating”…”with excellent service”.. We are also pleased that you enjoyed our close proximity to the beach and our “fun” pool.
Our four special poolside cabanas are our newest rooms on property built in 2010. Featuring extra high ceilings and large bathrooms, these large, poolside rooms are favorites for our returning guests. Two of the four rooms are also ADA accessible for guests with mobility challenges.
Many of our guests choose to explore our Magic City by bus by public and tourist busses available conveniently just across the street. We would be more than happy to assist with directions or ticket procurement. The double decker tourist bus makes stops at many of our awesome attractions including Vizcaya, the Biltmore Hotel, the Venetian Pool, Little Havana and the newest hot spot in Miami, the Design District.
We look forward to having you again as our guest. When your plans bring you back to Miami Beach please contact us at concierge@redsouthbeach.com to make your reservation and coordinate your plans.

The rooms at this hotel are clean and well kept, the restaurant & bar are convenient for when it rains and you don't want to venture out! The room was more spacious than some downtown hotels so can't complain!

The customer service was great and Antwon in the bar makes amazing cortaditos!

Thank you also for your praise of Barok Miami’s awesome General Manager, Antwon. His cortaditos truly are “amazing”! On your next visit, perhaps poolside, you should try his “Miami Vice”, a wonderful frozen cocktail that will put a smile on your face and whisk you to paradise.
We would love to see your #EGGChair photos and when you’re ready to return please contact me directly concierge@redsouthbeach.com
