We stayed here over the Labor Day weekend. We booked the stay the same day, so when we got to the hotel our reservation wasn't in yet, but no worries, the nice lady at the front desk found it and also allowed us to check in early, which was a huge bonus. The room rate was very reasonable for South Beach. I will say it is approximately 2 miles north from all the clubs and shopping, BUT...it is directly across from the beach. Taxis are readily available and it was sort of nice to be able to have the beach across the street and not be too far from the action for such a good nightly rate. They also have an indoor jacuzzi which is really neat. As soon as we checked in we changed and walked across the street to the beach. It was nice! South Beach is such a gorgeous beach. Oh and feel free to go topless...LOL...other people feel free to do as such. I will note that we had a personal issue in the middle (very middle) of the night and the gentleman at the front desk was VERY NICE and PERSONABLE and not at all rude to us. He was very helpful and kind. I can't say enought about this hotel as far as the staff goes. The room was small - but it is expected in South Beach - almost like NYC - you aren't in NYC to stay in the rooms and you aren't in South Beach to be in your room! The most important thing was that it was very clean and had really nice furnishings. We thought our shower didn't work and so we called downstairs and maintenance came right away. LOL We weren't pulling the knob the right way. We were a little embarassed but reassured in knowing they were attentive to our needs. I would recommend this hotel if you want a good, clean stay in South Beach right across from the beach. Alot of reviews on other hotels complained about the smell and them being run down...this hotel is neither. You can party all night at the clubs, take a taxi back and get a good nights rest without all the noise.

This is the first time that we had been to Miami, it was a stop over for three days after being in Disneyland. The hotel definitely has the wow factor with the jacuzzi in the atrium. I loved the hotel!

It was a pleasant as we had to hang around the hotel due to Hurrican Isaac Alert that was in Miami during our stay. For the looks, the cleaness of the room and the staff this hotel meets a 4 star requirements, but it rained in the hotel lobby during the stay. We can hear the other guests in their rooms. During the hurricane alert when everything was closed, also the restaurant down star was... i don't think that is a good decision as you tought you could eat at the hotel restaurant, so, we had to walk through the wind gusts and rain until we found an opened market from where we bought some muffins...

I recently booked a Deluxe Suite for 2 nights using a Groupon for a "two-night stay in a deluxe view queen room."

The good: The hotel is small, beautiful, and has a European feel. There is a wonderful pool in the middle of the lobby area as well. The room also looked very nice, aesthetically. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs the first evening. The restaurant had somewhat pricey, but good, well-plated food. The crab cakes and filet mignon were delicious.

The bad: the good feelings were short-lived. The amount of noise that could be heard from the next room over due to a shared door, the noise from guests in the lobby downstairs at midnight, the thumping noises above us, and the vacuuming at 3am were completely unacceptable. The towels smelled like burnt toast and we had a leaking air conditioning vent close to the sink, which was located outside of the bathroom. The "deluxe view" was trees that obstructed any view of the beach/ocean. I would definitely skip breakfast there in the morning and not pay $13 for a bagel with eggs and $9 for a mimosa.
