“Great location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

This hotel had an excellent location, right on the main pedestrian thoroughfare and close to restaurants, pharmacy, and of course the beach. The lobby and hotel grounds were really nice. Our room was huge but a bit dated, had plenty of empty space where they could put a dresser or something but was just ... empty space. The pool was nice (quiet), clean but filled with leaves quickly due to lots of trees. Lots of pool chairs. We didn’t eat at the hotel, the breakfast seemed expensive for what they offered, we did want to eat lunch by the pool one day but couldn’t find anyone working in the kitchen. Not a big problem as there are a million restaurants close by.

This is one of the cheaper hotel options for South Beach, and you can tell why when you see the room, but overall it is a nice hotel and a great location, and for us was still worth it rather than pay 5x the price for a fancier place!

Room Tip: Public transit will take you directly to South Beach from the airport for a few dollars rather than...

We've stayed at the Albion before and for this location you can just about expect what you pay for: pretty exterior, nice lobby, small, European-size rooms with minimal storage space, somewhat dated furnishings. But for paying rack rate you don't expect your "pool view " room to be facing a wall. Crane your neck and yeah, you can see it but depressing looking straight out the window. We arrived at 11:00 P.M. and asked for a nicer location. The night manager refused without a costly upgrade to a suite which he declined to offer us as a courtesy. He was entirely indifferent which made us more unhappy than if h had just said we're booked and that's it. We come every year at the same time but this will be the last one here.

Room Tip: Higher floors avoid bar noise

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel three times hitting the Miami clubs and enjoying being young. We have just returned from our fourth stay with our 11 month old baby which was a joint celebration as my baby was turning 1 and my husband was celebrating his 40th birthday. We were very nervous as this was our first travel experience with our baby and we had several worries which were totally erased through the help and assistance from all the front desk staff at the Albion in particular Maximo Soncini, Revenue Manager. Throughout 2012 whilst I was planning our stay Maximo assisted us in many ways even down to ensuring we remembered our carseat which we strongly recommend when traveling with a young baby. This hotel is in a great location, its a stones throw from the beach, ocean drive, lincoln road and just across the road from a CVS everything you need from a home from home. We will be returning again in 2013 as we had such a lovely stay as a family.

Having read negative reviews on this hotel over the years and having been returning to this hotel since 2007 we have never had any problems with staff or the hotel each stay has been amazing.

Highly recommended. Thank you everyone at the Albion.

We arrived on Thursday afternoon, with a very efficient check in and Porter to help with out luggage. A slightly strange smell on our 6th Floor corridor, but nothing to alarm us. The room was very clean, with two Queen sized beds, Mini bar, Safe, Television and bathroom. All in all, it was clean and white - So we were pretty happy. We left our suitcases and hurried down the three blocks or so to Ocean Drive and headed for a spot on the beach. The Weather was a glorious 70 ish degrees and a welcome beacon of sunshine for us British suffering from a really cold snap. The Albion was a really friendly, highly functionally, hotel, but to be honest - we didn't need the bells, whistles and price tags of the luxury hotels. The location is superb for the Lincoln Mall - which has some great shops and Restaurants.

Room Tip: Decent choice - remember it isn't one of the luxury Hotels - but it comes at an affordable price...

On the outside, the Albion is another handsome Art Deco hotel. On the inside is professional and friendly staff, who make staying there a pleasure. The location is great and the grounds, while compact, are beautifully maintained. Breakfast on the terrace by the pool is a special pleasure. Highly recommended.

I truly enjoyed my experience at the Albion. The staff went above and beyond to help me find places to eat, taxis and always greeted me with a smile. At this hotel traveling alone never felt lonely. Thank you!

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel now, fantastic location I have to say....just round the corner from the hotel is the famous Lincoln Road with lots of trendy restaurants and nice shops on both sides (they open till 10pm!), 5 minutes walk to the beach, Collins Avenue again for shopping down a few blocks, Ocean Drive for breakfasts all within reach! We had a suite, it was so spacious and airy. Loved staying there!!!
