I have stayed here several times and this last was the best. Had a nicely updated room that was a decent size and well worth the money (conference rate). The character of the public areas is well preserved. Service and food at the event was generally excellent although one lunch set out near the beach was in the noon say sun causing the lettuce to wilt rather unappetisingly and the cutlery to be so hot that my knife and fork had to be dipped in my water glass before they could be held in the usual manner. The main entrance does not do the hotel justice. The location at the foot of Lincoln Road is brilliant and tempts a person away from the hotel restaurants and bars.
