Good hotel. Comfortable, clean and updated rooms. Beach errosion a little upsetting but the beach beautiful as always. Great location with plenty of restaurants and other shops around. Only drawback I saw were the 50 year old elevators which kept on breaking.

To be honest my first time i stayed at the hotel i did not have such a great experience. I complained to I turned blue. My partner and I decided to stay there again, since there rates are the cheapest when we searched all thru South Beach. We went with a positive attitude, we told ourselves we are here to relax, drink by the pool, eat, and disconnect from reality for a couple of days. We told ourselves to be patient because the hotel was full. With that said, we had a wonderful time. We did exactly what we said we would do, we had lots of drinks, took naps, ate alot junk food, walked the beach. It was great. I know the elevators take long, but there is just alot of people at the hotel. The rates are good, you just have to be patient and understand its crowded, everybody has to get somewhere. Overall, I enjoyed myself. You make the best of what you got.

we 3 friend went to this resort for the 4th july,09 vacation, after arrival we had to wait like half an hour for checking in , it looks like staff didnt know what they are doing, then one of the frnd had clogged water basin and all room looked horribly maintained, it was like museum. window was ugly, barely u can look outside, they had 4 elevator but hardly any one worked, it takes forever for elevator to come, the day we went there, their Key system was down, and in the morning they gave us key, it was like it works only once and every time we had to go to reception to get it renewed, a complete suckers hotel. valet parking, don't even ask for that, it was a worse than hell. i dont recomment this hotel

The lobby was excellent and the beach area was great....the rest was shameful!!

I arrived about 12:30 a.m. upon losing my luggage to Northwest Airlines to check in to a room that was reminiscent of a Stephen King novel. THere were no comforters on the beds, the beds themselves was one set of mattress and box springs split into two beds, stains everywhere, hair all over the blankets, gum stuck on the carpet and the toilet was leaking. I was afraid to take off my shoes!! I went downstairs to ask for another room and was given the "Sorry nothing available.." speech. We went back to the room and looked for the ocean view only to find a big puddle in a vacant lot....how depressing. My daughter had tears in her eyes after we observed the bathroom. I went down and told the clerk that she needed to check me into a different room or I was leaving. The Volleyball Association made these reservations for us, but surely they were not aware of the condition of those rooms!! If so, I am really disappointed.

We were finally checked into a different room...better but still the stains on the bedskirts were revolting. Though the general appearance was less depressing and the only amenity that made it worth the trouble was the balcony (though it had mold everywhere) and the view of the beach.

If you have your druthers, pick another place to stay!!
