The staff were very friendly. Great location. Excellenct Staff. Room are very comfortable.
Breakfast very basic... to be improved.
But price to be clearly specified in the offer. A lot of hidden taxes.

Room Tip: Excellente Location

Great location close to all the action, affordable............ Until they hit you with all the local hidden taxes.
5 minutes walk from south beach, you have to try Mangos club, and try the "call me a cab" drink at Wet willys.

I spent two nights in this hotel which I chose because of the exceptional location. The hotel is just two blocks from the beautiful beach. The hotel provides beach towels, chairs and umbrella. The rooms are beautifully furnished and they are spotless. Unfortunatelly ... :)

1) the walls are quite thin and you can easily hear what people are doing both from the upper floor (if you stay on the ground floor) and the side walls.

2) the breakfast is quite basic. some packaged food and a coffee machine plus yoghurt and bagels. All in the 2x2 meters reception. So you need to pick things up and go outside in under one of the three umbrellas on the terrace in front of the hotel.

Overall, I liked it a lot but there are improvements to make.

Room Tip: Don't take a room on the ground floor. You can hear even people walking from the upper floor.

I am glad you enjoted your stay at our newly built boutique hotel in the world famous Miami Beach.

The breakfast we offer is simply a continental breakfast so you can start your day by enjoying a warm pastry and a hot cup of cappuccino. We also offer latte & coffee along with fruit & snacks complementary throughout the day. The continental breakfast in in no means a replacement of some of the amazing brunch options available at some of the neighboring restaurants in this exquisite locale. Miami Beach is a mecca of amazing cuisine and fusion flavors. After all, we host the annual south Beach Food & Wine Festival (SOBEWFF) so we can showcase the many talented chefs and restaurants.

First of all I want to say that the staff were very friendly during our stay and because of the location of the hotel it was quiet at night.

Unfortunately I do not agree with other reviewers who have rated it as excellent. One reviewer talks about the spaciousness of his room. Take a look at traveler photos and you'll see a woman sitting on a bed. That was also our room. Look at the distance between the end of the bed and the desk. Hardly spacious.
Those are also double beds which suck for a married couple who like to sleep together.

The shower drain was plugged to the extent that you had to cut your shower short or else it would have overflowed onto the floor. I brought it to the attention of the staff and was at first told that it was the weekend and that it probably wouldn't be fixed until Monday. Wrong answer when I was paying $300 a night. To their credit it was cleared the next day.

The sound kept cutting out on the TV. I brought that to the attention of the staff and they told me to try unplugging the cable box and resetting it. That did work, however why is the cable box still in the room if this is a problem that they've obviously recognized in the past?

I can't remember if I had to ask for an iron and a board, but I do remember that the board was one of those tiny things you put on a desk.

The cups in the room were the absolute cheapest plastic cups you can buy. The cup is so thin that the sides collapse when you pick it up.

Lastly, the continental breakfast was okay, but nothing to write home about. It was average, like the hotel.

On a side note, when I was checking in, there was a family there who had just flown in from Europe. There had been a winter storm along the eastern seaboard 2 days before and the airlines were all playing catch up trying to get people to their destinations. We barely made it there ourselves, but these poor people hadn't been as lucky as us and were a day late. The hotel had given away their room and being Valentines Day good luck finding another one. I don't have all the details, but I believe these people felt that the room should have been kept for them because they had paid for it.

This was our second stay at Villa Italia in Miami Beach. The staff were the best. Very friendly and extremely helpful. The location was fantastic. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The whole experience made our Miami beach vacation a memorable one.

villa suite was clean, cozy and closer to the beach, the layout of the villa is confusing with a closet seems to have been converted into a half toilet. We chose the villa to comfortably sleep 5 and have 2 bathrooms, but day 2 the bathroom upstairs srpung a leak with water gushing to the 1st level and we were down to one bathroom for the remainder of our stay. It would be nice to have been offered a discount for inconvenience but didn't want to push it since there was a flexibility in the checkin/out timings.

Room Tip: rent the villa suite if you have a group of 5, the service is good flexible checkin/out

Location was great. Awesome restaurants and delis nearby. Tv's and movie system is the only thing that could be improved, but great shower, bed, and room altogether. Staff was supper helpful and easily accessible. All around a great place to stay.
