Great location and lovely room, very nicely fitted and fabulous bathroom. Staff very helpful, lent us an umbrella to brave the heavy rain that greeted us on our arrival and recommended the italian restaurant ooposite for a lovely meal.

this is a very well placed quiet 4 stars hotel with perfect service. everybody was nice and helpfull.
it is true that the breakfast is a little short, the hotel would also need to use porcelain plates and metal spoons and knife, but it is nice to have the breakfast included.
beach and good restaurants within a walking distance.

We just came back from an outstanding stay at the Villa Italia Hotel. The front desk manager Carl is one of the best in the industry. He is extremely knowledgeble on the south beach area, where to go, what to do and when. This hotel is perfect for couples looking for a quiet place to stay, just outside the Ocean Drive craziness, but without the noise and headaches. Party animals go elsewhere...this hotel is one best kept secret and will hopefully stay that way. Carl and his friendly staff run a first-rate hotel operation - all for an excellent value. Rooms are very clean, well stocked and come with a 42in Samsung TV's and great channel line-up. Hotel is in a great location, safe, just south of the Ocean Drive area, but within easy walking distance of everything, including the Miami Inlet/Harbor area, where you can go watch the cruise ships head out on the weekends.

For couples, must do's are Happy Hour or dinner at Smith & Wollensky's, Joe's Stonecrab (A must do) and a walk down to Monty's for Hap Hour, overlooking the Miami Yachtclub. We saw some of the largest yacht's in the world, including the Aviva (#80 on the top 100 largest yacht's!).

They serve a very nice lite breakfast every morning. outdoor tables. All rooms and front gate have easy-swipe key cards for easy entrance. We stayed in the hotel, room was a bit smaller than I expected, but no biggie at all. I am sure the house is even better!

We enjoyed the stay very much. The people at the front desk were very helpful in sorting out car parking for us after we had checked out and provided a discounted voucher for the big, open top bus tours. The room was really large, modern and very clean. The location was just a short walk from the main hub of South Beach, so "close to all the action" but without all the noise!
