Me and my wife stayed in Tradewinds apartment in Buccaneer building, ground 1 BR apartment for 2 weeks. Apartments are nice furnished with a lot of space. We enjoyed siting in front of the apartment in nice decorated garden.
The location of Tradewinds is superb, close to beach and also to all interesting events in south beach.
Yes parking can be a problem, but we solved this with renting a parking space next to gas station near by, maybe 100 m from our apartment. The cleaning staff speaks mostly Spanish so for us from Europe communication with them was more difficult.

I just stayed at this property for 6 days, and I am very happy with our choice!

It does not have the glamourous, glitzy vibe of the places on Collins Ave. It is a quiet oasis from all of that.

The good:

Price. We found an online special that was 5 nights, for $600. (what you can pay for one night at other places!) This special also included a bottle of Prosseco, and a refridgerator stocked with fruit and cheese.

Room: We had an excellent apartment. It was at the pool. It had a small kitchen, living room, dining area, work area, bathroom, and bedroom. There was a large walk-in closet, and two other large closets in the bedroom. Be sure to ask for a room near the pool. Our room had no view, but it was so large and nice! The furnishings are modern and cool. The bed was very comfortable.

The Property: It's a small complex of separate apartment buildings. It is well-kept, with several outdoor seating areas. The pool area is the best part of the complex. Be aware that music is played at the pool over speakers for a large part of the day and night, but we couldn't hear it inside the room. There is also a laundry room to take care of your washing, so we didn't have to pack as many clothes. The pool area is also very secure, requiring an access card to enter.
Parking is in a lot across the street, and is included in the price of the room. An outstanding value in South Beach! It is a short, 2-block walk to the beach. A 3 minute walk to outstanding restaurants, and one block to Walgreens, for whatever you may need.

Service: All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were kept clean. The towels seemed to be in short supply. But I found that if you need them badly enough, there are usually clean ones in the laundry room.

Overall... I will definately stay here again! My fiance and I had a wonderful, restfull, and very romantice vacation!

No problems with facilities or location and all staff very pleasant and helpful.
Room serviced every day.
Sited off 24th street, all areas are within walking distance,supermarket one block away, beach 5mins and lincoln road shops about 10-15mins. There is a bus service which for 25 cents takes you to anywhere around this area.
Rooms big and airy, facilities good although as mentioned perhaps lack of space for toiletries to be left out, however there is an under sink cupboard.

If you are booking and have any mobility issues be sure to request ground floor as there are no lift facilities and carrying cases up stairs could be awkward.(all accommodation only 2 stories high).
Our flat was facing Pinetree drive and this was perfect, no disturbance from the traffic, despite the fire station being opposite, the flats at poolside I think may afford less serenity, pool area being open for use till midnight.
For drivers there is an issue with parking space, we decided not to hire a car, as said previously anywhere can be walked to or bus used if prefer.

Would definitely use again.

I was in this hotel apartment in August and my verdict is well below expectations. I had read very positive comments on the internet that led me to book the hotel but in reality as the structure is quite beautiful and modern cleaning is not accurate, and above all there are some rooms, like mine, unfortunately, near the course of 'water that runs along the structure that is not exactly the best (moisture, etc. ..). Among the other two times I found cockroaches in the apartment and asked for someone to come to recetion to provide but did not see anyone.
Hard to find parking in the surrounding area as it is all reserved for residents, except opt for the parking with the hotel for $ 20 a night but then during the day if I have to move the machine (which is very likely in Miami) I am have to bear significant costs .... I do not believe there again
