Bright and sunny segway trip to see the icons of Miami Art Deco buildings, gardens and sculptures. We had a small group of four with an excellent guide Andrea, who was very informative, friendly and patient, particularly with me, as I'm afraid of riding a segway. She was very accomodating taking us to the beach and stopping at any point that would be interesting to us. Great tour for those who enjoys a fast self ride. Remember to take water and sunscreen! The only suggestion for improvememnt I'd have is to have a better training / warm up spot - sidewalk doesn't seem to be big and safe enough for beginners.

My work team took the South Beach tour and we had a great time. We were able to tour the entire south beach area, see all of the great sights, and get a history lesson. If you want to see a lot in a short amount of time, and learn about the city, go with Segway South Beach!!

Six of us were in a group between cruises out of Miami port. My wife set-up a Segway tour with a private company because nothing like that was available with Carnival Cruise Lines.

The guy who took us out was great. They take cash only at $95 per rider for approximately 1 1/2 hours. The company SegwaySouthBeach.com (954) 804-0253 if you want to book. We met him at Lincoln Road at the bottom end near the beach and across from the Ritz Carlton.

They are a smaller tour company with only 5 segways, but he is able to get more depending on group size. Its better to go with a company like this, as they give you training needed and get you on your way quicker than some of the larger groups in the area. He pointed out as we went by some of them, and you can waste time if group too big, as they tend to book.

If you havn't tried the segway, you should. It's a blast. This is the second time my wife and I tried it. She caught onto it pretty quick and she is very nervous about those types of things. She wants to do it again, it was so much fun. The others in our group had no problems, even though they never tried one before.

I would recommend this company as they showed us alot of south beach and gave us lots of information about the area.

They also let us try a segway that didn't have handle bars. Amazingly, it was alot of fun, even though it looked unsafe and hard to drive at first.

Excellent bike/segway rental agency. Very friendly staff, that will give you a discount if you're a normal friendly person. Very clear rental policy, instructions, as well as a small training session with with the staff. Helmets are given for free. Vouchers for discounted rentals are usually given at the end for a next time.
