This place is nothing like real Russian banya nor it is Turkish. The main steam room is made of cement with cement seats and walls. Smelly, dark, water constantly poring on the floor. Staff is unfriendly. and rude. A few times that I went there guys at the front desk always overcharged me giving some ridiculous reasons why it costs more than their advertised price. The whole place looks like a dungeon of an unfinished industrial building. There was another banya in Miami called Nirvana that went out of business now. It had a real wooden steam room, real Russian food and generally much better then this terrible "Russian and Turkish baths"

“Awesome "out of the box" experience in Miami”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2014

My coworker found this place and convinced our group at work to make a night of it on a Monday after leaving the office. She loved her first time so much she purchased the 25-visit package right then and there.

All I can say is - what a blast! This place provides a great way to detox, disconnect, and relax. With multiple saunas that cater to difference heat and steam tolerances, you decide what you can handle, sit there and just breathe. At the beginning, it's a little hard to get used to the heat, and some rooms with steam make it even harder, but by the end of it, you're a pro. We read a review that talked about how the Russian room was so hot you would reveal all the NSA secrets to the Russians, and it's so scarily accurate that we just had to laugh. There are open water sources and buckets inside it, so if you're like me, you can dunk yourself every 30 seconds if you want to tolerate your stay a bit longer. Other rooms have showers inside, or ice water baths right outside if you need to cool down, and there's also a "polar room" that is a great way to cool off. There's an ocean water jacuzzi with a strong hydrotherapy fountain that gives one of the best massages ever. Best part: there is a little cafe area towards the "end" of the baths area where you can buy water, beer and other refreshments - keep hydrated!

Pro tips: 1. Bring flip flops, saw some people walking around barefoot... Not good! 2. Bring your own towel. The two they give you are medium-sized towels so not the best option. 3. They give you a rubber band that holds 2 keys - one to the outside locker where they guard your valuables, and one to the locker inside the bathroom where you leave your clothes, etc. Those keys get HOT in the sauna. Be careful. For this same reason, leave ALL jewelry behind.

We didn't try any of the treatments or massages, but I did hear they were pretty good. Overall, we spent roughly 3 hours in there and loved every minute. Highly recommend!

“An Experience to Repeat Often”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

This is a great place to enjoy a full day or evening of hot/cold self service treatments. It's no frills and you won't hear music (no sounds of the humpback whales), but it has everything you need. With entry, you are assigned a locker and get 2 small towels. They also offer massage services, mud treatments, etc., for an extra charge. The massages are like sports massages - deep tissue if you need it. For the entrance fee, you can stay as long as you want and just go from room to room at your own pace. The rooms include a stream room (nice and hot), hamman (hot but without the steamy air), redwood sauna, infrared sauna, oak room (hot & dry), crystal room (warm), fire hose room (high pressure water self service massage requiring 2 people), the rain room, 2 ice-cold plunge pools and a polar room (cold). The object is to go from hot to cold (repeat) to increase blood circulation. It's a lot of fun, very affordable, and you will feel great afterwards. Tip: bring your picture ID, 1-2 liters of water for drinking and 1 personal towel for use at the end of your stay. Don't forget to validate your valet parking ticket at the spa desk for a discount.

“A Blast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2014

This place is a blast, literally - the fire hose room is a "must" experience. The pulsating water from the hose cures any and all back and muscle aches, just remember to cover your ears to keep the water out. From the hot tub waterfall, to the multiple heat/steam rooms and various water rain/hose specialty rooms, this place is a restorative, relaxing treat. Great place to spend the afternoon. Located on Collins Ave. in North Miami Beach at the site of the former Playboy mansion - it also has beach access and a large outdoor swimming pool with bar and cafe. Personal massages and other specials are available. This isn't the "up-scale" spa retreat and the locker room is spartan, but for @ $50 the overall experience is delightful.

Relaxing!!! Just did a Girls Spa day at the Russian and Turkish Baths (Birthday celebration)!

Which room was most relaxing? Infrared sauna, aromatherapy steam room, the ocean water jacuzzi. I couldn't say….they were all fabulous!!! This is a true healing place, come prepared to sweat, detox & re-energize.

Plan to spend the day! Bring your lunch and take a break on the ocean or by the pool.

You can even take a nap…in a designated room for sleeping.
