“Excellent location and price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

We stayed here over new year and were very impressed. We had booked a hotel in downtown Miami but cancelled at the last minute to be closer to the action for new year. There is valet parking when you arrive. It's run by an outside company and costs about $27 a night, but it was good. I did read some reviews before we left that some of the valet guys drove quite fast. When I handed over the keys to my rental car I was confident that they were more interested in the various exotic sports cars than my SUV!
We were in a standard room, which was average sized, although quite spartan. The white tiled room suits the warm Miami weather. Plenty of space for hanging and storing clothes, and tons of space under the bed to slide bags into.
There are cross trainers at the end of the corridors if you fancy a quick workout, we didn't!
Free breakfast downstairs, and free tea and coffee all day as well.
The hotel is less than fifteen minutes walk from Ocean Drive, and ten minutes walk from Lincoln Road. When we are next in Miami Beach,we'll try here again.

We have just returned from three nights at the Townhouse Hotel and we can't wait to go back. Our excellent experience started when Georgia, the lovely manager, honored the very good price shown on TripAdvisor, even though technically it wasn't available on the nights we were coming. At check-in, it was "no problem" to give us our room even though we were three hours ahead of officlal check-in time. And when the room we were originally assigned smelled of smoke, no problem (again) to move us -- and give us a free upgrade at the same time!

Our room was incredibly light and airy, and clean as a whistle. The red-and-white decor is adorable. Breakfast is delicious (fresh croissants! 3 kinds of preserves! hard-boiled eggs! unlimited do-it-yourself lattes!). The common areas (lobby lounge and roof deck) are gorgeous. The location is perfect -- lhalf a block from the ocean, and iterally across the street from the Settai ($645/night).

Honestly, in just 3 days the Townhouse Hotel has become a destination hotel for us. The only thing that will prevent us from coming back will be if that great TripAdvisor special isn't available!

I stayed at the Townhouse over Christmas.
Location is great, it's just away from the main areas but a 5 minute walk down Collins to Lincoln and the restaurants and shops. It's also just a minute away from the beach.
The hotel isn't luxury but it does stylish basic very well. The room was large and bright.
I arrived at 9.30 in the morning having emailed in advance to check that I could leave my bags there way before the 3pm checkin. They had asked the maid to get the room ready so I checked in pretty much straight away and got some well needed sleep rather than having to kill 6 hours. I was very great full for this.
I didn't have much interaction with the staff but what little I did they seemed friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: I was in room 214 it seemed quiet. It was on the side road. I think if you are facing Collins it m...

Giancarlo and his team run a great operation at this little gem on SoBe. My wife and I spent three nights here (on our honeymoon) and couldn't be happier to have chosen it. It's a deceivingly simple place as it has everything you need and more, not to mention the friendly and super helfpul staff. There is a reason it gets all the positive reviews it does, so my advice is if you are thinking about it book it. It's a great place. Thank you Giancarlo.

I stayed in the townhouse hotel for three nights. The location of the hotel was excellent with a short walk to the beach and close to restaurants and shops. I was surprised about the quality of the help yourself breakfast (coffee, bagels, muffins, croissants...) for that price. There is a bjg rooftop terrasse available as well. The rooms are basic but clean and roomy. Southbeach hotels are expensive and the townhouse hotel is definitively a bargain.

First off, the location is perfect. The Townhouse is located a little further up Collins from some of the bigger, better known hotels, but it is still a short walk from Lincoln and Ocean, and is consequently a little quieter. It is also less than 100m from the beach.

The hotel has a very clean, almost spartan feel, mostly painted white. This is a theme carried on into the rooms, which are fairly basic but very clean and comfortable. However, if you are looking for sumptuous luxury, this is not the place for you.

Breakfast was included in the room rate and consists of a fairly small, but in my view perfectly adequate, continental buffet. There is also a sushi restaurant in the basement, which while a little pricey, was great food. The only bar is also in the restaurant and was also expensive - 13 dollars for a gin and tonic.

Overall the hotel has a very calm, relaxed feel. The other guests are friendly, but in my experience tend to keep themselves to themselves, which suits me just fine. The guests also seemed to be a fairly mixed bunch from all over the world, and tend to be mainly in their late 20's and 30's.

For me, the best thing about the Townhouse is the staff, they are all very friendly and helpful, but manage to achieve it in a way that doesn't seem forced or over the top (sadly something all too rare in the US). Special mention has to go to the barman in the BondSt bar, who gave us a master class on saki, including a number of samples!

So would I go again? Yes, definately if I was looking for a good value hotel in a convent location.

One final recommendation - if you want great Turkish food, check out the Sultan just around the corner from the Townhouse - looks like a kebab shop, but really cheap and great food

Room Tip: Try and get a room that doesn't face Collins - you get a fair bit of traffic noise

The guest services were more than accomodating!! Yummy breakfasts and great comfortable rooms and lobby. Right next to the beach and within walking distance to shops. No complimentary water in the rooms. Nevertheless big spacious bathroom and bedroom.
