Owner description: People watching is a great pastime in Miami's South Beach, which draws celebrities and beautiful people in skimpy swim attire to see and be seen. The wide and fine, white sand-covered beaches are popular spots for fashion photo shoots, so you're sure to see models. The area is known for its hip clubs and wild nightlife as well as numerous excellent restaurants.

“A Tourist's Journey”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

If you plan to go there for a day, avoid a weekend as you will never find a place to park on the street. Valet parking costs $25 and up. Try to park near Lincoln Road and walk to SOBE. You do not need dinner reservations as there are many fine restaurants at all price ranges open all day and night. Dress casually-No formal wear required.

“the heart beat of miami”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

we have spent several days in south beach or as it's defined: sobe.
this is the heart beat of the city of miami.
it never sleeps. in the morning you can see people training on the road or enjoy the whole day at the beach or hang around to do some shopping and in the night all the clubs will welcome you till the following morning.

“South Beach/ Miami/ Florida”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

I had a fantastic time last summer to Miami. I was there with my brotrher for 2 days only coz we went on a cruise to the Bahamas:) South beach is amazing, the ocean is warm and too many people and jetskies around! I was amazed also from the prices: 18 dollars the unmbrella and 15 dollars the sunbed! but it worths....otherwise u will get burn from the hot sun of july-agost. Across the street is the famous Ocean drive avenue and the heart of the Art Deco District, with beautiful pastel colors colonial buildings! Gianni Versace was having his coffee at News Caffe, as well as Robert De Niro and Al Pacino ....this area is well known as the 'Cannes of the States'!

“Fun!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

Always wanted to see Sobe so drove over from Marco Island, FL during a recent stay. Drove along the main drag. Parks and beach beyond on the east side and hotels and restaurants on the west side. Crazy crowded. Very cool. Lots of Art Deco buildings. Seemed each building had a restaurant out from on the sidewalk covered with umbrellas. Could not find anywhere to park for over 1/2. Didn't want to pay a valet. Finally found a city parking garage right in the heart of things. Very inexpensive($1 per hour). Walked along until we found somewhere we wanted to eat. Ate at The Cleveland on the sidewalk. Stop in the lobby's of the hotels and take a look at the restored art deco designs. Later went to the beach . It was packed(MLK day). Worth the trip!
