The town of south beach should be very concerned about what is floating in the ocean- I have seen so much filth in the water it is a shame.. and please do something about your homeless. it is very sad... beggers on the street.

As part of the holiday we secretly planned a wedding with a Miami officiant and the beach was all we expected it to be from the movies. Clean and welcoming and the beach huts make a great back drop on the photos. The boardwalk is a nice feature and it makes it much easier to walk on. One little downside is the lack of eateries in some parts but it keeps it clean.
The sand is warm and white and a great place to relax and sunbathe, lots of very friendly people around and in the evening feels very safe and still welcoming

The beaches are like in the movies, clean, stunning and the place to be. You cannot go to Miami without visiting them. We actually got married on the beach and it was beautiful, it was later in the day and quieter, the best decision we made and would highly recommend.

There is a lot of beach so finding a quiet or a busy one is quite easy. The only downside was the lack of local food to the beach which meant you had to pack up and then come back, but it does keep them clean

The beaches themselves are beautiful, white sand, clear waters in general. Recommendation apart, not bring anything of value to the beaches as they are unsafe due to the number of people moving in the beaches.

During the day, very nice quiet place to walk around and enjoy the scenery. There are a wide variety of restaurants and bars to choose from on Ocean Drive. Lots of tourist shops around, also on Washington Avenue.

Point to note, you can rent bicycles to u$s 4 an hour at various points in South Beach. Segway can also be rented, is a nice experience if you never used one, about u$s 30 an hour.
