Only place worth visiting seems to be Ocean Drive at South beach.
Otherwise South beach is filled with hotels and beach condos. For random tourist driving by Ocean Drive is worth visiting.

If you are visiting Miami you have to go to South Beach. Its not the prettiest beach in the world, but its nice! And between pretty people and nice restaurant/bar scene its definitely a treat.

I am in need of a South Beach overview. I am coming down for the BCS Championship in January and have a few questions.
1) Will clubs and restaurants adhere to rules even with a large influx of visitors? ie. Dress code, making you wait in lines outside clubs, etc.
2) I am doing some research. I have looked on some club's websites. Some are offering pre-purchase tickets. Is this something that I should do? Will I still have to wait in line? What about "table service"? Is it worth it? I am not accustomed to waiting in lines and really do not want to get accustomed to it :)
3) What are the best restaurants? Best inexpensive places to eat lunch? Best clubs/bars? A must-do in South Beach?

South Beach is an extension of Miami Beach and has the largest concentration of Art-Deco buildings in the world, over 1200 we are told. The beach itself is really nice and goes on and on and on, really nice place to people watch! Alot of tourist shop's around and also some classy boutiques as well. Lot's of restaurants to choose from all much the same on Ocean drive, try the restaurants further back from Ocean Drive they seem to be better quality and better value. We stayed for a few day's and loved every minute
