First let me start by saying...I am soo conflicted about writing this review!
I am afraid to share the "Secret" and the "Joy" I feel...about my stay at Chic..because I don't ever want to call and be told Chic is sold out..and I definately don't want it to become over run/run down by the YUCK that can come to stay in southbech!
Chic is like your own personal vacation home..would you want strangers in your home?? LOLOL
All jokes aside, I have been coming to Southbeach now for over 15years. I am in the area at least once a month..for business, pleasure or a bit of both.
I have stayed at just about EVERY property on the beach, new, old, renovated, not, travel class and luxury.
The Chic Place by far has every other establishment beat..hands down! (I pray there is a decline in tripadvisor traffic!)
I booked my stay via the web. It was easy and quick.
I was worried at first because, my reservation did not say confirmed immediately.
Just a few short mins later I recieved a call from a very nice and friendly gentleman, whom I believe was the manager.
The email I gave him was a blackberry address...and he wanted to make sure this was the best way to contact me.
He is Kreskin, because it was not the best email for me! I actually only gave that email address because, I don't like giving my personal one in fear of emails every other day about a promotion or something.
UGH! I explained that to him, he assured me that wasn't the case...and we moved on.
He asked when I was arriving into town..to see if he could accomodate me any earlier than 3.
HE OFFERED to check FIRST...I did not ask him. Who does that on Sobe?!?!? How sweet was that!?
I was already in town and on the beach..I was fine with the 3pm check in.
He told me I would recieve a email before 3 that would give me instructions on how to get into my room and how to park my car.
The instructions came by 2pm! They were clear and easy to follow. I parked my car in the lot next door.
FREE PARKING?!?! NO WAY?!
Uhhh...YES WAY!
Again, people I ask you..who does this on South beach!?
I entered my room on the first floor and fell in LOVE! Soo stinking cute..the decor, the set up, even the way it smelled..just made me happy on the inside. I was traveling alone..so I was worried about my location in the building. I am not sure if it was on purpose, but my room was upfront and on the first floor.

The living room was complete with docking station and TV. Instructions about the free-wifi and how to work the docking station place right on the coffee table.
The kitchen was amazing..full size frig, stove and microwave. I LOVE a microwave on vacation! I can always have a dinner leftover that I spent good money on for breakfast or lunch the next day!
LOVE IT!
It felt a little warm in the unit..and I worried since I didnt see a control anywhere for the temp.
I also didnt see towels for the beach.
I emailed the manager Draisa..and playfully explained my concerns and needs.
She emailed me back IMMEDIATELY!
I had beach towels at my door the next morning..and I found out how to lower the temp and did so, without any problems!
She also offered to have my room serviced, the next morning.
She could not have been nicer!
I had a few more questions during my stay..and she was on top of her emails with an answer and smile to boot.
AMAZING!
This place is soo needed. It would be great for anyone who loves Sobe like I do..but is there often enough that they don't need all the flash and crowds!
Customer service stinks most places on the beach..it is such a pleasure to be treated like a guest, and to be respected and heard as a guest.
I honestly can not say enough good things about this property and the people that work there and own it.
Good job by you!
I hope and pray you can maintain this little gem for forever...maybe even open up another location somewhere else on the beach!
I will spread the word to those I feel are..."worthy" other than that..I am keeping my mouth shut..and praying this site goes down after this is posted! LOLOL
P.S. Since I will be back next weekend..I wish you did send promotional emails..:-)
