it is very busy so use public transport to get around south beach. fastest way and stress free. very efficient and people are helpful.
From Ritz-Carlson hotel to small mom and pap places to well-stocked convenient stores, Collins Ave has a bit of everything. It is easy to navigate as the cross streets are numbered. Collins can get quite busy in the evening as the nightlife kicks in. Homeless take over in the morning and can be seen sleeping and walking everywhere.
Never, ever....save money for other places to see or shop or have good time...this one here is a total failure - unexpected after the whole fuss I've heard all of these years. So long Collins, Ocean dr & Co.
Collins is a great Avenue to visit on a Sunday. Start in South beach for Lunch and some time on the beach. Than drive south and stop for dinner in Sunny Isles in one of the many great places
Lots of activity (and traffic) especially after work and in the evening. Depending on what part of the street you're on, there are some options for restaurants.
