collins road is very different from the noisy washington avenue 'cos it's much more quite and full of clubs a bit more posh. this has been my personal feeling.
Collins Ave goes from Bal Harbour down to Miami Beach and one can find just about any kind of shopping experience, to say nothing of being on the beach. Parking in a problem and you will get a ticket if you don't pay the proper fees.
There are many great deals on the strip for those who want to have a reasonable lunch. My son had the fish sandwhich which was megasized . However, do not walk down the strip unless you want to meet numerous sales people trying to lasso you into sitting down at their dining establishments. Quite annoying and crowded.
What's not to like about this place? Endless shopping opportunities, a great selection from cheap to affordable to high-end couture. Plenty of places to grab a bite to eat or have a drink (you need them in this hot climate). And girls: you can safely bring your boyfriend who hates shopping - there are lots of things that will be to his liking too.
