“Not sure when I would visit ?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

Like the memorial in Washington and NYC and Israel these memorials remind us of a of terrible time and humanity at it's worst. Not sure what part of a vacation to south Florida that fit's in BUT many visiting South Miami might not understand exactly what happened to Jews before the end of WWII and this is a reminder they will not forget, Probably not for younger visitors.

“Sad and heartbreaking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Although it was sad and it was honestly heartbreaking, I learned a lot that I had forgotten through school, even learned things I didn't know. Must go! However, go when you aren't having a good day, it is quite a downer on the rest of the day.

“Senior's Trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

We especially liked how the docent spent allot of time sharing the knowledge from that time period with us. He was an actual holocaust senior. He shared with us the memories and showed us his tattoo where he was numbered and was able to explain how terrible the ordeal was. It was so interesting. We will definitely re visit next year for another tour.

“Never forget”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

this is not a "fun" place to be. it is somber and sad and yet a must for everyone. besides the fact that it commemorates all those who perished in the holocaust, the artistry for the sculptor is very touching. A good reminder to never again allow racism and bigotry control a nation. beware. you will cry.

“While the world watched...... While the world listened...... And remained silent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013 via mobile

A very factual description of the destruction of humanity 1938-1945. The truth is almost embarrassing considering the intelligence of mankind. It reminds me of the schoolyard bully who enrols a gang of thugs to empower their selfish desires.

Too much power, whether it be economic, political, or raw strength is dangerous.
