After reading other reviews of this property we were worried, but we planned ahead and took some extra things with us - washcloths, ear plugs, bug spray and sanitizing spray. The room was clean, the bathroom definitely did have a mold problem on the ceiling and the room needed to be repainted, but it was what we expected for the price. The location of this hotel is nice and out of the way of the main drag (Collins Ave.) but we were still awakened at night by late night partiers returning home from clubs, etc. Instead of ear plugs we should have brought those over the ear protectors they wear at the airport. One extra note: Their website was accurate with local attractions as well as the correct buses to take to get to the hotel. The buses were generally on time and affordable ($1.50 each ride), but if you want to get from this hostel/hotel to the airport, you should plan on it taking 2 hours (one way)! If on a budget we would return again, but DEFINITELY not during Spring Break. I don't know what we were thinking!?!?... but we ended up checking out a day early to avoid the noise on Fri. night. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Parking was not a problem - we got their last reserved spot for $10 per day in their garage (public garage which they contract for reserved spots) - parking gets more difficult on the weekends.
