“One of the most enjoyable meals we've had”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

My wife and I had dinner here, prompted by the Tripavisor reviews and the fact that we had never before had Indonesian food. It was a wonderful experience. I don't have much to add to the other reviews. The food here is very good, but the combination of the food and the delightful ambience created by the owners makes dining here a very special occasion. Be sure to try the rijstafel (did I spell that right?) offerings. They give you an opportunity to try many different dishes, all of them very good. We found none of the dishes to be overly spicy, so don't worry. Prices are quite reasonable.

“Just what we needed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013 via mobile

We like locally owned, small, interesting restaraunts and Indomania was pure delight. The atmosphere is cozy and attractive. The Indonesian food was creative, delicious and served with a lot of style by the terrific waiter. A friendly Dutchman named Pieter owns it with his chef wife, and he stopped to visit with each table, and even went out in the rain to hail us a cab.

“Spectacular meal, you have to try it”

The owner welcomed us into the restaurant and seated us in a great spot by the window. The food was excellent, our waiter Teju was great, couldn't have been more enjoyable!

“Indotastic! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013 via mobile

Off the beaten track and a hidden treasure. Excellent Indonesian food. Unique in Miami. And last but not least: a very warm and welcoming Dutch owner Pieter and his wife, the head chef. We Dutchies had a really great evening! Indotastic!

“Subtly Seasoned and Various Dutch Indonesian”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013 via mobile

The Dutch husband-wife team who run this restaurant produce four varieties of traditional rijstaffel, along with simpler fare, all of it attractively priced for such excellent flavors. Ten or more small dishes accompany white and fried rice, all of them distinct, though coconut and peanuts flavor more than one dish. We tried the Sumatran version, a steal at $28 per person, though you will be hard pressed to finish it. This featured two kinds of beef, shrimp in coconut sauce, a lovely chicken in a light peanut and coconut sauce, truly delicious eggplant--and much more. There is a somewhat less ample Java version, and also vegetarian and seafood rijstaffels. The wine and beer lists are good and not terribly expensive. Only alerts: the food is flavorful and much of it spicy ( though not terribly hot--a very nice red pepper sauce is included for those who crave more)--so not really for lovers of extremely subtle or blander flavors. We loved it. Also, no cocktail bar, if that's important. Very good service, pleasant atmosphere in a small space.
