My husband and I visited Fashionhaus, our fist time in Miami and within the space of 2 hours my phone was stolen, I left it in the doc in our hired car and when the valet brought it back it was no where to be found, we already had paid for the Valet asked for a refund and wasnt given a response by the Hotel manager.

As the days went past it was one drama after another with the Valet service, they brought the man who picked our car up into the hotel to show us and for him to say to our faces that he did not steal the phone, it was the most uncomfortable situation I have ever been in, we never accused him directly all we know is that the phone was in the car when it was taken away but when it was brought back it was not, we didnt know what the procedures were for the garage where it was kept, they might have been someone else there who had access to the keys etc.

Then a couple of days later again, the Valet came to the hotel to tell us that he did not steal it, etc, etc, made me feel very unsafe and scared in a place where I was supposed to have fun and let my hair down!!!!!!

I suppose the hotel did all they could, but I dont think it was enough as they should have given me a refund for the service.

The hotel is well situtated, nicely decorated but the bathroom was never cleaned properly, beds were made and towels were changed.

I stayed on the FashionHaus on November 2012. The place is nice and clean. Rooms are not huge, but they are OK. The location is fine, although its not where the action really is. For that, you will have to walk a few blocks. Bear in mind that this place is mostly oriented for young people, I did not mind hearing other persons in the hallways laughing or talking, but other people may.

All in all, I believe this is a good value if you don't mind the walking. Personally, I would recommend something closer to Española Way or Ocean Drive, though.

We found this hotel on Bookings.com.......... I always look at Tripadvisor for the balance on reviews as some other sites are not so impartial....... On reading the reviews we opted for this hotel for its location and price @ £70 per room per night.......one block from ocean drive in Maimi south beach........ I have paid a lot more for crappy rooms in the uk............. The holding deposit of $70 per room per night is a bit rough but if you're not going to trash the room........ You'll be fine. Decor is good and in good order and the beds are comfy..... 42" LG flat screen with cable and free wifi......... Receptionist is very helpful and will sort any issue out herself...... Valet parking at
$28 per day is worth it........ Car park opposit is either $20 per 12 hours or $15 so park for 48 hours and pay $60...... Don't forget that this hotel is on a busy street in a very busy area so don't expect a quiet leafy area......... It is a great base...... Don't eat at Ballini's.........

Pro: great location

Cons: very noisy at night with people in hallways and upstairs
Linens and sheets torn and stained
Maid service, forget it.... You will not get it unless you complaint and then it is half done.
Rooms need redecorating, paint in poor condition and bathrooms not clean
Room phones do not work
Tv works only on some channels

All these issues were pointed out during our stay, but it seems the staff don't have much to stay about resolution to these problems
