This was by far the most disgusting hitel I've ever stayed in. The only reason we stayed is because they would not refund our money. The service was just as nasty as the room. I can't believe anyone would stay here..

This place to stay is perfect if you want to be just amid of the happening. The location could hardly be better. The staff is friendly but busy all the time, at least it seems like that. Be aware of the fact that it could be loud during the evening and the night as many clubs and parties are around. At least we made this experience at our stay.

So many things to say about this place. Let's start with entering the room. Why wife asks "what is that smell?" "Must," I answer. The room has a musty smell. There are two insanely loud air conditioning units under each window, which are putting out about 90 decibels each. I have an idea, open the windows to let some air in. No go. There is a sign on all of the windows saying that the windows must not be opened for "ventilation purposes." I was like every other guest wanted to get ride of the musty smell, but they wanted to keep it as part of the experience. And for those of you who are lawbreakers, thinking you'll open the window anyway, nothing doing. There are plastic blocks on the window so you can't open them even if you wanted to.

Then at night. The people here say get a room at the back of the hotel because of noise. I've slept one door down from Bourbon Street, but this place has nothing on that noise. 2:45 am I'm awakened by the dude in the convenience store below who for some reason is BLARING the radio. The street is empty, no one around. I go him to tell him to turn it down ("WHAT"? he says, because he can't hear me over the radio). If you do decide to stay here, and please don't, do not ignore the advice to get a room at the back of the hotel. The one benefit is that the jet engine sound from the AC units mostly drowns out the street noise, just not the literal thumping of the dude in the store downstairs playing his radio that resonates through the concrete (the head of the bed if directly above the large speaker he has strapped to the wall above the entrance to his store).

The bathroom is lacking. Fixtures circa 1972. One of the shampoo bottles was half-used, they didn't change it out prior to our check in. Coming back after the first day, the room was made up but one lone used towel remained in the middle of the floor.

There is a "fully equipped" kitchen, but I don't know what that means. There are pots and pans but no stove. A four place table to eat, but one small microwave in which to make anything. There is no kitchen. Just a small fridge, a microwave, and lots of cabinets (which, for some reason contain several pots and pans which, unless you want to build a small fire in the room - can't open the windows remember - are useless).

Overall, it has the feeling of a place your friend might have when you visit from another city when you were 22. Nothing fancy, very basic, good for partying and that's it. If you have seen another part of the world beyond party, puke, rinse and repeat, this place will feel familiar but not in a good way.

No gym, no pool. A colleague (was here for work) stayed at the Dorchester which is about 6 blocks north. 50% better, nicer room, more amenities, no smell in the room, for about 10% lower price. Forget the location (which is all this place has going for it), unless you can't stumble home more than half a block, do yourself a favor and get a better hotel for less money a few blocks up. Seriously, all the hotels are within 4-6 blocks, do not get sucked in by this location, it's not worth it.

Room Tip: If you are insane and still book at this hotel, for god's sake, get a room at the back of the ho...

I recently slent 4 nights at this hotel. The location is very good! You can walk to Lincoln Road, the beach is just 2 minutes away, as well as Ocean Drive.
We got an early check in, wich was great. The staff were very nice and helpful.
The room is big, you can cook and eat (there's a table for 4) and it was clean. There's good closet space. The shower was very good. However, the rooms could be better, more modern... The mattress could be firmer. The lightbulb in the bathroom gets very hot when it's turned on.
The AC in the room could be better as well (there seems to be too much humidity)..
Wifi is very good.
The valet service (which isn't provided by the hotel, but is suggested by them and seems to be the best parking option) was the only big downside: they sometimes took about 20 minutes to return our car, but on two opporinuties took more than one hour to pick it up, and we had to wait by the car until they arrived (since we had to park it in a 15-minute parking spot). They deffinitely need to do something about that!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with less noise (in some rooms, there is a lot of noise from the garbage truck in the...

I stayed with a friend at the hotel over New Years and had a great experience. The location is perfect in the heart of South Beach and a block away from Ocean Drive and the boardwalk. The customer service at the front desk was fantastic. We arrived early and the lady at the front desk informed us our room was going to be ready within the hour so she stored our luggage securely for us while we went to lunch and when we came back, she upgraded our studio room to a suite! She was also very helpful in recommending good, cheap restaurants in the area. While our room was not super clean (but still tidy), it served its purpose and we got to enjoy the extra space of a suite. We requested a room towards the back of the hotel prior to arriving and had no issues with street noise. Great value for the location and I highly recommend booking over busy holidays like New Years if you want a relatively cheap hotel that is in a fantastic location.

From beginning to end my stay was a great experience! Starting from Faviola at the front desk who was so friendly! She was super helpful and gave us great tips on places to check out. Then when we were taken to the room, it was super clean, spacious and comfortable. We loved it!!! It was sad to say by to the staff and the hotel. Oh! it is SUPER well located and VERY affordable if you book it in advance. I can't wait to go back and strongly recommend it!
