What a fab hotel all the staff were helpful and friendly Luis,John,Vincent,Carlos,Ros.....just to name a few. The hotel is a located just a block from the sea so is in a great location... it's a great example of the art deco period. Rooms and beds comfy.. no safes in rooms but was reliably informed these were on the way. Breakfast was a real bonus with a nice range.... can't wait to go back......

We stayed one night and loved it. Great location and perfect for couples. Nice for staying in SoBe if your looking to do other things outside of your hotel. Our room was small but clean and comfortable. The hotel has a great atmosphere and we loved the free breakfast.

Was there with my friend for 3 nights. We both loved the hotel. Spotless, clean towels everyday. beds comfortable. central to where I wanted to be. One block from the beach and nightlife. All the staff very welcoming John, Carlos ,Luis and Ross the General Manager. More than helpful. Complementry breakfast each morning and tea and coffee free at reception till 2pm each day.
Had a bad expierience in hotel the last time I was in Miami so this exceeded my expectations. Will be staying there again hopefully in the not too distance future. Would have liked to have a safe in the room plus a kettle as I like hot tea. There was a small fridge which was great.

We are just back from 5 nights at the La Flora. First off, this not a resort. It's a boutique hotel. The rooms were clean, the amenities limited. There are no safes in the room, but we felt comfortable just locking our valuables in a suitcase. However, it is a lot like staying at a close friend's house. If you need anything, just ask and they are happy to provide. We loved Carlos, at the front desk and Ashley, the bar tender. We met Roz, the owner, and she is sweet and happy to chat. The hotel is next to a public parking lot. Late in the week, it got a bit loud and busy. But, it IS South Beach. We didn't mind. All in all, we would return, even if it was just to hang out with the staff.

Room Tip: If you can get a room on the side of the hotel away from the parking lot, that would be preferable.

Me and my husband have been traveling on holiday for the past month and decided to make La Flora our last stop of the trip. We were warmly greeted by a young man named Carlos, who eagerly checked us in with ease. The hotel's General Manager was welcoming and delighted to have us stay at her hotel. She really went above and beyond the average standard making us feel right at home. After checking in, we decided to make a stop at the bar to cash in our free drink cards. The bartender Ashley, was wonderful in conversation and mixed an amazing cocktail. My husband and I were amazed at the prices of her fantastic drink! The rooms were extremely accommodating, modern, and very clean. We loved the hotels location and were pleased to find that staying at South Beach was affordable and peaceful.

The hotel is in a great location. Parking is expensive and valet rates kind of don't make sense.

Hotel is clean but rooms are quite small and bathrooms need a bit of refurbishing. Very few towels are given or replaced. A/C is loud and rattles when turned off or on. TV signal is horrible. Breakfast is included: cereal, bagels, muffins, coffee/tea and juice. Hence the 2 stars?

There is a guy at the front desk named Carlos who was extremely kind and helpful. Thank you, Carlos. The other bald dude whom I don't care to name was rude and seemed bothered when asked for anything. He definitely should change professions or his attitude otherwise this hotel will be vacant frequently.

Can't complain about the value nor the location; if you want to be in South Beach this is a near perfect location to walk everywhere. Hotel staff were as friendly and helpful as they could possibly be. Breakfast was pretty much bagels and hardboiled eggs, got old within two days but lots of options around the hotel. Rooms are very clean, but even for just two people and two suitcases the rooms are a tight fit. It is an old hotel so the rooms are not what one would expect in hotels now. BUT...it is what it is, if you want a five star ultra modern hotel...don't stay here. If you want value and location at the expense of luxury, then this is a great choice. They also give you beach towels and the beach is only two blocks east. One complaint is the noise of the AC/fan, loud enough to disrupt your sleep if you're a light sleeper to begin with.

A side benefit.....SPIGA Restaurant is right next store...some of the best Italian food I've ever had and tremendous service ( $$$$).

Room Tip: The upper floor rooms offer some insulation from the urban din that continues into the late night.
