My wife and I were travelling around florida for august and, having stayed in other great miami hotels (marriot, biscayne blvd) and other good sheratons (sheraton City suites, Orlando) we were looking forward to our stay in the four points. However, from the moment we checked in everything went downhill. we orginally reserved a five night stay in this hotel but cancelled after three nights and moved to another marriot. The lifts were dirty, the staff were rude and unhelpful and the builidng site next door stopped us from lying in the (admittedly lovely) pool area to fogrget our problems. Even going back to the room for a shower before our night out was problematic as we had no hot water for the first part of our stay. Everytime we went back to the room, the room keycards had been cancelled, meaning another long trip in the slow elevators down to the lobby to be intrrogated by the reception staff who seem to have forgotten that we were paying guests but were under the impression that we were trying to break into the rooms. trying to charge a drink to our account was also difficult as everytime we tried, the waitress told us out credit card was not valid. everytime!! it was impossible to get towels for the pool and the 'tiki' bar was double charging us for every drink we tried to buy. Despite being regular travellers, we have never experienced these sort of problems before. i would reccomend the marriots in town but STAY AWAY from here!
