We had the privilege of staying in this great hotel in November, as an additional nights stay in Miami after our cruise.
Rather than go straight to the airport from the ship, we decided to stay an extra night, just to do a little more relaxing before the journey home, and we are so glad that we stayed here.
I'm going to be honest, and the corridors and rooms themselves are a tiny bit dated, and could possible do with a little upgrading, but the lobby and bar area are really nice, and very well presented. The pool area is also nice, clean, and well maintained with a selection of seating around three sides, and a separate "comfy" seating area is also present, next to the gated entrance to the boardwalk. The gate, unlike other hotels in the immediate area, is not really worth having. You need your key card to operate this gate, or, you could just climb over it if you wish, and it doesn't really offer much security compared, as I stated, to the other hotels around this area.
This hotel has a rating of three stars, which I find laughable. It should certainly be at least a four star, as I have stayed in supposed five star hotels which were nowhere near as nice as this place. In fact, the cruise that we had just been on was classed as a five star cruise, and can I say, I was happier in the room here, than the cabin on the cruise.
There were two nice sized separate double beds in this room, which were really comfortable to sleep in, with lovely feather pillows to aid in the best sleep I had in the three weeks I'd been travelling.
Tea and coffee making facilities were here, and were a good standard. Also present was complimentary bottled water, which made a nice change to the six dollars the cruise line were charging for bottled water.
Also included within the room was an iron and ironing board, security safe, hairdryer, and a great selection of toiletries including mouthwash, in all, pretty much everything you need for a comfortable stay.
In general, as stated, even though a little dated now, the room was very clean, tidy and well organised. Not bad location wise, not much at the front of the hotel, unless you fancy a little walk, but the boardwalk is at the back, which does make for a relaxing stroll.
I cannot recommend this place enough, and I know we will be staying here again the next time we return to Miami, hopefully, for a little longer next time.
