The day we arrived at our carefully selected art deco gem, the bar and restaurant (separately owned and run apparently) had closed. We were not told on our arrival. The staff later said they didn't know either. So when we tried to get glasses and bottle opener that evening we couldn't. The bar did open in a semi-functioning way the next day as long as the order was simple! The manager was very pleasant and apologised but we did not expect this type of disorganisation from a hotel that is supposed to be up market. The early morning call never happened either. We weren't surprised.

Our stay ended up to be very pleasant, even though our first impression of the hotel was not positive, as the concierge was neither accommodating nor welcoming. There was little eye contact, no smiling, and we were convinced that we were invisible. After that first bump, things went much more smoothly. They switched our refrigerator and even lowered the music outside for us (the music is really way too loud, and they played the same Beyonce album over and over and over...)
The manager was very nice and cared a lot about how things were going. I would stay there again for sure.

Our room was a little on the small side but this was compensated for by the location.
Internet in the rooms by Ethernet only. PC & printer available free of charge at reception.
Ideally situated in South Beach and just a few minutes away from everything.

Avoid this place at all costs because it is an absolute nightmare. There is a serious lack of patron respect, due to their admitted internal operations problems with their bar/restaurant. Also, there is no follow up on guest complaints, or handling of situations as they occur….it’s awful.

In general (and to be fair) the front desk staff is helpful and polite. The hotel and rooms are below average. What is so disconcerting is the lack of intervention of the hotel (and management) over the brutal treatment of their bar staff toward patrons which is unacceptable.

The General Manager of the property , after apologies for an outrageous situation at our expense (which was humiliating and unnecessary) didn't even bother to follow up. This Hotel neglects guests.
