A friend of mine and I decided to stay here for one night after our cruise. One night was not long enough. When we checked in, the staff was very friendly. We checked in before the check in time, and they said that there was only 1 King bed available, and we had requested 2 beds. They said we can wait another hour to get the room with two beds. It was nice to have that option.
The cookie we each recieved upon check in was so delicious! I loved how the internet was free, and they have a printer set up to print out what ever needed for free as well.
Busy location, and busy hotel, but so worth it. Looks recently renovated, and the rooms were great. The bathroom was a little 'dated', and the toilet seat was really low, but clean. We didn't have a great view, but again, we were given the option of a city view, or courtyard view. Bed was comfy, and there was a flat screen tv in our room!
Just a great experience all around. The beach is just right there, and a few blocks down from all shopping and tourist attractions. The art deco theme is just neat to see all together, and for the hotel to be a part of that, is a nice change.
Did not check out the restaurants at the hotel, so can't say much about that, but were advised about them upon check in, with their hours, and brochures as well. Breakfast seemed decently priced for the room service menu, but did not take advantage of that either.
Bell service is friendly as well, and after we said no to carrying our luggage to our room, one seen that my friend was struggling with hers, to get up the stairs, and so he came and helped her anyways. She tipped him of course, but didn't have to.
As a travel agent, I would recommend this hotel to most travellers. It's not a high class hotel, but definitely worth visiting if you're staying a couple nights.
