“Amazing Staff”

We were here for a short time. It's a very nice hotel with nice rooms, but their staff was the best and is what made the hotel memorable. Specifically, Pedro at the front desk went out of his way to help us when we had issues with the printing of our boarding passes.

I had recently stayed at riviera hotel in Miami! What a great experience!!!! Thanks to Pedro my experience was amazing. I stayed at riviera with 8 of my girlfriends. Pedro the concierge took great care of us! He made sure everything we needed was taken care of. He had a beautiful limo awaiting us for when we were all ready to go out! He made sure he took care of anything we needed. The rooms were immaculate ! Pedro kept checking on us to make sure we were more than satisfied with our experience! I can't wait to go back in august and stay longer at this hotel and have Pedro do what he does best take care of his guest . What a a memorable experience! Love you Pedro!

Best hotel in south beach! All the employees are super attentive and friendly. From the beginning till the end. Joe from amenities is awesome. They served our need accordingly. Amaury and alejandro were great.

We took a 3.5 hour drive from our time share in Orlando, FL. It's like a vacation within a vacation. We wanted to see Miami and look for spots to fit our needs and found this little gem in south beach. The room decor was appealing and the bathroom was ample. The beds were so comfy that you just sink in!! It was tight for a family of four but sleeping space was a non factor for us as we just wanted to see the sights. For $30 a night you can have valet service where you can just park your car in front of the hotel walk out and hand over the keys which is a big deal since finding parking space is tough, specially during summer.The hotel turned out to be an excellent choice for an overnight choice. I have to daughters, 22 and 16 years old, and the shopping stores(the ones they actually like) were in the area and were just a stone's throw away. The beach was just a few blocks and the numerous eating places were a stroll or a short drive away. About 3 blocks from the hustle and bustle of Ocean Avenue's nightlife. Also, about 7 miles from the hotel, was the popular SW 8th street famously known to the locals(and around the world) as Calle Ocho...or "Little Havana" that has countless top rated restaurants. We sampled the delicious cuban treats at Versailles and what an experience it was. Reasonably priced too! Right next door was a bakery(so get your empanadas and cuban desserts here) not to forget an order of "Colada" or Cuban coffee. Awesome aroma and flavor! Also next door is a cigar place where you can get hand rolled tasty cigars for amazing prices. What a treat the whole experience was. The hotel has a nice rooftop pool and tanning beds.The decor of the place was very artsy contemporary chic with a lot of character. My younger daughter whose very artistic found the Banksy artwork the was all over the hotel and in the streets of Miami a feast for her artistic soul. Also a few minutes away is the Bass Art Museum which we visited because of my 16 year old's prodding. Going up and down Collins Ave (where the shops are) you'll see most of the Miami area hotels small and large. Some brand new construction and some are landmarks. They seem to look like they've been renovated but retain their classic look and Riviera South Beach hotel is no exception. It was a fun, cozi, modern and efficient stay. Enjoy!

Room Tip: There are 3 buildings. A,B and C. A and B(where we stayed) have swimming pools.

We were very disappointed with the housekeeping service during our stay. We requested for our room to be serviced twice in the same day and the housekeeping staff finally came to clean our room after 6 pm.

On day 2, we had to call again to request service. We did get offered free dinner coupon, however it didn't help the fact our room wasn't cleaned.

On both days, only our hotel towels were changed out and the bed was made. The sheets were never changed and the bathrooms was never clean.

As Expedia Elite Plus Members we expect a certain level of service from the hotel we stay at. We expect that when we leave the room by 9 or 10 am, that our room will be cleaned by the time we return in the late afternoon to relax before dinner.

Worst hotel experience in my life.

Just upon entering the hotel the staff welcomed and greeted me with welcome to riviera and smiles quickly helping me with my bags. Alejandro and amaury were accomadating. The front desk staff is informative and checked me in rapidly. Jenny i assume is the manager she was great during our stay. Alicia and arlene helped me with my upgrade!! This hotel is beautiful! Great experience

When I first walked into the hotel, I thought it was nice enough. Staff was plenty polite. However, it took us about 20 minutes to check in. The room is fine, but small things were bothersome: the sheets were pilled, the mattress was uncomfortable, there was a funny smell, and so on. The real problem was the live music that played for several hours every night. The band was worse than the worst karaoke I have ever heard, and it played until 10pm every night of my stay. The rooms are not soundproofed whatsoever, so depending on the night I felt like I had invited either a mariachi band or a bad cruise ship performer into my hotel room. I asked to speak to a manager about the issue and they told me that the manager was "busy with an event."

I understand that the hotel probably brings in revenue from events, but it's first priority should be it's customers. I am disappointed with the accommodations and the service and would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Miami on business or pleasure.

I will share your feedback regarding cleanliness to the Director of Housekeeping! The live music comes from Moreno's Cuba, the restaurant that is attached to the hotel. I will make sure that the owner of the restaurant is aware of this, so that it doesn't happen again! We want all of our guests to be content and we will work towards that!
